BOOK TODAY! Trent is an excellent host. The cabin is peaceful and equipped for you to cook and relax. Some great hole in the wall restaurants and lots of local popular restaurants in Houma. All 20-30 minute drives but definitely worth it! FISHING is great! We brought a boat and fished off the wharf. Grab a crab trap with some chicken legs or turkey necks and you will get plenty of blue crabs. We caught a redfish and several black drum on the wharf. You can buy turkey legs, frozen shrimp and minnows down at Falgout Marina, just a 5-10 minute drive, or bring some with you. Nice scenery and the local are very polite! Bring some bug spray. The mosquitoes are not bad, but they do have an occasional horse fly. We will be visiting again and maybe booking a fishing charter as well.

This place was exactly what we were looking for and needed. Great time fishing for three days. Dean is a great host. We will be back in the fall.

Great stay. Everything exactly as described. Pictures accurately reflected the exterior/interior. Check-in instructions and checkout process was easy. Entire group enjoyed our time at Jeff’s place. Would definitely stay here again. Travel note: we stayed mid-August 2024. The bridge is out on Hwy 56 just South of the property at Lapeyrouse Bar & Grocery so be sure to come down Hwy 56 through Chauvin AND NOT Hwy 57 through Dulac when traveling to the property. GPS may send you down Hwy 57 if traffic is heavy in Houma/towards Chauvin but you will not be able to access the property due to the bridge construction if coming down Hwy 57.
