The cottage is in an unparallelled location just 150 yards from "the best bit" of Hadrians Wall at Walltown Crags and directly opposite the Roman Army Museum. There is parking for 1 vehicle as well as a bus stop right (services include AD122) outside. We are perfectly located for walking, visiting the historical sites along Hadrians Wall, Lake District & Scottish Borders.

The private entrance means the space is completely your own to relax and enjoy a bit of TV or film, or find out more about the area and it's history The main room has a comfortable king size bed, TV and seating area. It was originally an outbuilding to the previous Tweed Mill next door. We are located a stones throw from the village where you will find an abundance of amenities pubs. takeaway's and a 5* market hall. We are located less than 10 miles to Carlisle and a short drive to the M6 a gateway to Scotland, the lake district and Northumberland.

We have excellent walking and cycling from site. The Pennine way is a field away, two disused railway lines, Lambley viaduct and riverside walks. Welcome to our self-contained hilltop studio surrounded by fields and panoramic views over the Northumbrian coast. A place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Located within walking distance of a remote outstretched beach and just a few miles from the coastal village of Alnmouth and historical village of Warkworth. Alnmouth train station is only a 5 minute drive. From here you can travel directly to Edinburgh in 1 hour. The studio features an open plan sleeping/ living area with a kitchen.

We are a 5 minute drive to Alston (petrol, gift shops, pubs, pub food, home made gifts, spa/co-op, mini railway, bike hire, C2C, fishing, cycling). The Lake District, the Borders and the North East are just a drive away. The new build apartment sleeps 4 in 2 upstairs bedrooms (microwave, washer dryer, dishwasher, tv, DVD, wifi, parking, bike store). There’s a stunning view from every window including the shower room, there is no bath. We’re very rural the WiFi can be somewhat unreliable.

This former farmer's cottage situated in Northumberland National Park has recently been totally refurbished. We also have a smaller cottage next door, which is listed separately on Airbnb, if you have a large party of guests wishing to get away from it all! About 1.5 miles from Hadrians Wall and around 4 miles from the local town of Haltwhistle which is merited with being the Centre of Britain. We are a fully working farm, around a 1000 acres, and have cows and sheep.

Free pick up after 5pm from Steel Rigg and free drop off before 9am. Dog friendly too.
