Family-friendly holiday rentals in Clayton

Gorgeous views, great location, the hot water was actually hot (unlike other Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in), the hot tub was ready to go, the host left us snacks. It was just such a wonderful experience. We will be coming back. If I had to pick ANY cons, I’d be really reaching. You are one of four yurts (we didn’t realize we would have “neighbors” but it’s set up in such a way that you still have privacy.). Also, you are close to the road so occasionally you will hear cars, but the sound of the river much overpowers that. Plan for no reception; we were fine with that. We plan to come back again with 2 more couples. I will definitely miss falling asleep to the sound of the river Now, what I wish I would have known as a car geek - we accidentally went through Tail of the Dragon on the way there. Had no idea it was here. Was sad to have a big ole SUV riding that instead of my sports car! Plan accordingly. :)

We loved our stay at Greg’s cabin! The location is beautiful and the cabin was very clean and comfortable, it looked just like the pictures. There is a nice stream right next to the cabin and we enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. It was also only about a 10 minute drive to the casino, which was very convenient for the event we were attending. We would definitely stay here again!

The songbird cabin was a beautiful getaway and so peaceful and serene. This was a perfect escape from the city life and really allowed me to connect with myself, my partner and nature. The cabin was immaculately cleaned and even better in person than the pictures! The hot tub was amazing to sit and relax in and the hosts were so gracious with everything they provided- I will definitely be back! If you are looking to book a peaceful and relaxing air bnb- look no further. Just book the cabin- you won’t be disappointed!!!

Very central to Helen, just walk out of the door and Town is a 5 minute walk. The neighborhood was quiet in the evenings.

Our family of 10 adults, xl dog, and 3 children had a great time. The home was beautiful and had plenty of space for each of us. The game room downstairs was a great place to entertain everyone, and both upstairs living rooms were perfect for family activities. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and easily accommodated our family. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need to cook 3 meals a day. The house is close enough to fun activities that you don’t have to drive for hours to hike or shop, but far enough away you felt like you were in a cozy cabin in the woods. Craftsmanship of the home was impressive.

Linda and Keith were very hospitable. Gave suggestions for places to dine at and visit. The beds were comfortable the kitchen had everything you need. She even asked what kind of coffee we drink so that she would have upon are arrival. Anytime we texted her response was very prompt. I would highly recommend the shady rest to all that are visiting in the area. You’re close to so many water falls which are amazing.

Very cute cabin and very clean even being pet friendly it was spotless. We traveled with our dog and he loved it too. Exactly as described. Very peaceful location. Laura was a wonderful host. She was great at communicating. She made everything so easy from check in to check out. Would absolutely stay here again. Not one single negative.

We loved this little cabin! It was perfect for my husband, 3 kids & I! When we arrived Friday, the place was covered in snow. It was a winter wonderland, so beautiful! Loved all the heaters and fireplaces inside, and especially loved the gas firepit on the back porch. The hot tub was a big hit, was the first time I’ve ever been in a hot tub and been surrounded by snow.

As always, we LOVED our stay at Uncle Joe’s Cabin. This place is a little slice of heaven and this trip was exactly what our family needed. Our 4 kids always love playing in the creek and I loved napping on the porch listening to the creek and the rain. The cabin itself is so cozy and peaceful and the surroundings are simply beautiful! It’s the ideal location for a laid back, relaxing vacation full of family time!

Such a beautiful and peaceful cabin tucked a way with a lot of hiking close by. The cabin was rustic, clean, and just as described/pictured. My boyfriend and I did a couple of nice hikes including Looking Glass Rock Trail as suggested by Lucas. Greg/Lucas were very accommodating and responsive.

The cabin has a cozy feeling and is located nice and secluded at the end of a neighborhood, with plenty of privacy. Due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the outside but the bonfire looks like a great place to sit outside with family or friends. When booking, we didn’t realize the upstairs bedroom does not have a door, although this did not bother us because it was just my wife and I. We would go definitely come back here. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with.

My dog usually barks at anything that moves. She found peace and quiet. Not even a whimper all night. That was her first time away from home and that was an absolute plus for us.

This is the best location! Right in the center of Clarksville. Easy walk to all the little shops. Great place to stay while in N. Georgia.

Place was extremely clean,close to main st highlands but far enough away to be quiet, Becky responded within a few minutes, had a fantastic time in highlands and surrounding area,we travel to highlands often, first time using a airbnb loved it!!Becky's a great host to work with.

Great location! Small cozy guest house. Parking spot was tight for our large 2500 but we made it work. Recommendations were great.

Gorgeous mountain retreat is a perfect way to describe this property. I found everything in the description of this property to be true. In my opinion Karla’s description was very humble and we found the property to be much better than expected. Entire family celebrated my father’s 90th birthday, and found the house plenty spacious for all of us. With full living space on the main level and downstairs we never felt crowded.The house was immaculate and very well stocked with items that were above and beyond any other property I’ve ever stayed in right down to the firewood. Directions were easy to follow and communication was always done in a timely fashion. If you want to relax, do nothing, enjoy the views this is the place for you. If you want to be active, go hiking, play golf, tennis, etc. this is the place for you. If you want to grill out and watch football with the gang, this place is for you. So if you have a large group, and you are looking for a mountain getaway, I recommend that you stop looking and book this property NOW!!

The Lake house was one of the quietest and most peaceful air b-and-b's we have stayed at. The new back deck is the highlight of the lake cabin. The rest of the cabin is fully equipped and functional, but we hardly left the back deck. With its fenced in area and gate was perfect for the dog. The kayaks and dock are a nice addition. It is located close to good dining at Micas restaurant and Whiteside brewery. We came for the hiking in Panthertown area. We will be back again.

Sunsets and Siestas was fantastic! Alan and Sylvia were responsive and friendly leading up to and during our stay. The home was very well equipped with furnishings, bedding, etc. The kitchen was a huge success. We were amazed at how many amenities were in the kitchen. We cooked everyday and the kitchen was well appointed with dual ovens and many other great features and appliances. The new Weber grill outside was also a great added feature! Our entire family of 16 had plenty of space to enjoy the house, pool, boat dock, and outdoor fireplace/hot tub area! I highly recommend Sunsets and Siestas! Lake Keowee and the entire area is full of outdoor adventures and fun for all ages.

By far the best airbnb host we’ve ever had super fast to respond to questions and the accommodations were better than described. Beds were absolutely marvelous woke up every morning feeling better than new. This airbnb is a nature lovers dream. Highly recommend Sandy and the unit

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The views from the house are incredible. It is very peaceful. The place was clean. Nina was very helpful and responsive when needed. We used the pool and hot tub, which was a short walk down the driveway. I highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the area!

We were having our family Christmas get together and was so happy that the house was still beautifully decorated for Christmas. That made our gathering extra special! The house was perfect for our group!
