Stunning stay at Paul’s cabin. Gutted to not have been there longer, there’s so much to do and explore in the area - especially after meeting Paul and receiving all of his fabulous tips. The lodge was super cozy and in extremely good condition, sitting by the fire after a long day was perfect. Everything super clean and kitchen well equipped for self catering, and also had basics of oil/ salt/ pepper and milk. Would HIGHLY recommend, thank you!

Fantastic location overlooking the bay, with the most spectacular scenery and views to the mountains. Shona was a very responsive, accomodating and friendly host. The cottage was so homely, clean and peaceful, we didn't want to leave. We were even spoilt with warm and sunny weather in October and had a very close encounter with a pod of common dolphins on a boat tour with North Coast Sea Tours from Lochinver harbour. We enjoyed walks in Culag Woods down to the sea and up onto the moors on the Little Assynt Estate with more stunning views of the mountains as well as a lovely walk over to Ardvreck Castle on Loch Assynt. We saw many dragonfiles, lots of birdlife, including birds of prey and stonechat by the cottage and lots of mosses and lichens in the woodlands giving an otherworldy feel. Enjoyed learning about the geology of the area at Knockan Crag on route to the cottage too. A very special couple of days that we won't forget. The highlight of our holiday in the highlands of Scotland.

A lovely place to stay either foe a few nights touring the NC500 or longer to explore more. Its comfortable, warm, spotless and well equipped. Jacqui was very responsive and the instructions for check in and check out very clear. We stayed around the area walking and beach hopping. Enjoyed Stoer Lighthouse and the walk to the Old Man plus Clashnessie waterfall and beach. Would love to visit again

Culkein never let me down & the pod was so cosy ,quiet. This was our 3rd times staying at one of Karen’s place.Karen was so nice & responsive.She replied straight away anything for you.The pod itself was so convenient and it’s got every basic things you need .We had the nice times there again. I recommend the Crofter’s Kitchen in Scourie for fresh seafood dishes (so delicious) as well & you can even take a boat trip to Kylesku waterfall from Kylesku Hotel . If you prefer hiking,Bone caves should consider as your option as well as the views were so stunning and breathtaking . Definitely recommend to book this pod as everywhere is easy to access and so glad that I got to stay at Karen’s place again.Definitely coming back again soon. Thanks Karen.
