Exactly as described. Had a comforting older home grandma feel. All the furniture was comfortable. Loved the recliners! Loved the foos ball, fireplace thingy in the basement, deck, outdoor fire pit and the wildlife! Had some frustration with the heating system. Theres a weird mix and match heating system with no written instructions on how to control the heating. There is no air conditioning at all which made for some discomfort on days it reached the 50s. Enjoyed our stay! Home was really clean! Love that bedding and furniture was not white!

Beautiful cottage to stay at! My 4 teenage boys, my Dad, and myself all enjoyed it very much! The boys really liked the Recreation room and even the activities in there to bring outside and play, such as basketball and badminton. Robert and Jill were quick to respond and very friendly. The cottage was clean and had some cute little touches to welcome us. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it!

My family enjoyed our stay here! The kids loved playing on the lake. There were more amenities than in the listing so if you aren’t sure if they have something then just ask! Ping pong in the garage was fun and we used the paddle boards.

Kathleen was a very responsive and communicated well. Her place was exactly as described in the description. It was a very nice cabin, perfect for a couple families to enjoy themselves without being right on top of each other. The hot tub was especially nice after a long day on the ski hill! Would definitely stay here again in the future! Thanks for such a nice cabin and great experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Leroy lake house. We stayed for a weekend of skiing nearby, and it was the perfect space for what we needed. The space fit the 4 adults and 3 kids from our group easily, with a whole extra bedroom that wasn’t even used. The views were gorgeous, even in the winter. The kitchen was well stocked, everything was clean, and we had a very relaxing time. We would definitely return!

Very lovely cabin!

Lovely home on Rose Lake. Very quiet and peaceful. Home has plenty of room for a family of 5 .(3 adults and 2 kids) The kiddos loves the hammock in the backyard by the water and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. A definite add to our favorites list. Will stay again and recommend to our other family when they stay up here.

Great family getaway! Clean, accurately described, plenty of space indoors and out. Amenities were more than adequate.

This was our second time staying at Jennifer's place. We absolutely love it! It is perfect for our family of 4. A short walk down the driveway and you are at a park, beach, and fishing dock. The beach is great! The water is clear and no seaweed. My son and I caught small blue gills at the fishing dock, and my daughter loves the park. Also, be sure to check out The Depot (10 min walk) for ice cream and pizza! Well be back!

The cabin is absolutely great. It is all that you wish for in a cabin. The interior is very nice and the place has everything that you need for a couple of days. Kevin is a great host and very friendly. We loved being there and can absolutely recommend this cabin.

We had a fantastic stay at this lakeside gem! The house was spotless, and the instructions for check-in were clear and easy to follow. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made sure everything was perfect for our visit. The game room provided hours of fun for our group, and the kayaks were a wonderful touch for exploring the lake. Saturday morning on the water was absolutely picture-perfect—calm, serene, and stunningly beautiful. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. It’s was a great place to stay for our girls family weekend! The pictures didn’t do it justice, it was bigger than we expected! We had 10 people and it fit our needs perfectly! Paul was very easy and kind to work with.

We had another great time with my brothers and a few close friends for our annual ice fishing getaway. This house fits our needs perfectly. It was a very snowy weekend, but was still able to get out and ice fish and enjoy the Houghton Lake area! I would highly recommend this home when visiting the Houghton Lake area.

Stayed at the cottage for 2 months in the middle of winter. Was very comfortable and got to meet my host when she came to drop off extra supplies and TV’s. We are a group of 3 disabled Vets and 2 emotional support animals moving across the country and Missy made us feel welcome and at home. She had great communication pre-booking too when I checked to ensure her place met our needs. Beautiful views of the lake from the kitchen. Spent time watching the locals ice fishing. Friendly but not intrusive neighbors too. Ran into some while taking out the trash. We had a great stay and would definitely book this cottage again.

This was by far one of the best Airbnbs that we’ve ever rented. Thomas and Karen were kind and excellent hosts - their response times were lightening-fast, they answered all of our questions before booking, and addressed any minor issues we had during our 2-month stay quickly. They even sent us a baby bath for our infant son! Their home is comfy, spacious, and fully-stocked with essentials, linens, DVDS, and games for a comfortable stay. The kitchen especially has everything you could possibly need! The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Our dog had lots of room to run in the backyard and beyond in the lake bed. Even without the lake, the view is scenic and feels very private. Thomas and Karen were so welcoming — we highly recommend their home!
