Family-friendly holiday rentals in Chena

This place more than exceeded our expectations everything was very thoughtful! Full kitchen with all the amenities made cooking a breeze! The dishwasher made quick work of the dishes after. The washer and dryer is such a plus! The bathroom heated floors! The hot tub very clean and well maintained and the view so peaceful! The book with helpful resources and local recommendations was such a lovely touch! This could easily sleep 6 people and with it just being the two of us we felt like royalty staying here! Don’t miss out on this location memories made here will last a lifetime!

Hot tub was amazing! Definitely would recommend having AWD or 4 wheel drive if you are visiting in winter. The roads up to the house are not cleared. We managed to make it in & out multiple times in a minivan, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Definitely take note of the hosts average response time. They were great, but didn’t respond to messages between approximately 7pm-10am local time. We experienced some issues with the heat during our visit but host did what they could to make our stay comfortable. Not too many tasks to do when checking out which was great! Very nice home. Seems to be well equipped for families.

Amazing stay, out of the world Hospitality and completely felt like a home away from home. One of my favorite stays ever. It was a very spacious cottage with very cozy vibes. Colleen wasn't around but had her friend Stacey to help us with all we need. They're both incredibly helpful (yes even Colleen although she wasn't around). It was a remarkable stay and I thought twice if I wanted to leave a good review and be selfish by gate keeping this gem but honestly.. They deserve every single star available. If there's a reason I ever come back, this place would be one huge one! Oh.. Not to mention, I caught a spectacular Aurora right outside the door on the very night I arrived. This place is a lucky spot!! ❤️❤️

This BnB is in a beautiful location on the Chena River and the rooms and amenities were very comfortable.

The yurt was amazing! So cozy and clean and had awesome views! Colleen was incredibly responsive and even alerted me when the Northern Lights were expected to appear! The description of the yurt is incredibly accurate and the directions to the address were clear. The location is great for aurora viewing and for getting to some of the recommended viewing sites. It was so cool to stay in a yurt and I would highly recommend Colleen's place to anyone visiting the Fairbanks area.

We loved Colleen’s yurts and really appreciate all that she does to keep them in great condition for guests. The view to the mountains was clear our first night. It was a bit cloudier the second night, but we still had a great time cozy inside. The drive up is definitely challenging in the winter, so if you can minimize that you’ll likely have a better stay.

We have stayed at Leeann’s bnb two years in a row. She is always available. If there are issues, she takes care of them right away. She is very friendly. I give her 5 stars and will definitely see if her place is available next time I am in Fairbanks. The place is beautiful!

Loved staying at Patty’s place! It was quiet and peaceful. Loved taking walks around the property. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Patty left lots of snacks, coffee, tea, cream, and sugar. This was so appreciated since we got in late and didn’t have a chance to get to the market our first night. I can’t wait to come back and I will definitely stay here again!

The view from the cabin is incredible and watching the northern lights at the cabin was perfect. Truly, a wilderness getaway that was restful. The winter roads were handled well with our all wheel drive. Plug in available for the vehicle. The hosts made sure we had firewood and that the winter trail was packed down and accessible. Beautiful walk through the property. The automatic hot water dispenser was our favorite bonus when needing to warm up from watching the northern lights.

This is the third time (over 13 months) that I have stayed at Huffman Manor with friends for a weeklong retreat. It is quiet, spacious and every time I come back, I see the upgrades that have been done. This is a clearly well-loved home that the owners are maintaining / upgrading. We look forward to coming back again!

Stayed here March 2025 with my parents and Anna’s place was the perfect location for our needs! It was easy to get to, close to town but also far away enough to see the northern lights right from the driveway! Saw them almost every night of our stay with one strong show that was truly magnificent. Anna’s hospitality was also on point. After a long day of travel, arrived to find snacks waiting and other super nice amenities that added just that extra touch. And her response time to messages was superb. I do want to mention though, the faucet water smelled and tasted a bit like metal. It wasn’t discolored or anything so felt safe enough and I also read somewhere that that is a common issue in that area. We just bought some jugs of water from the store around the corner for drinking which was no big deal. Would definitely stay at this location again-especially when trying to comfortably chase the auroras! :)

Audrey’s place is incredible. The updates and decor are a gem in Fairbanks. She is very accommodating and friendly, open to chatting and offering advice on adventures to see or places to eat while also respecting privacy. The view is incredible and the in-floor heating is tough to beat!

We thoroughly enjoyed this little cabin! It had everything we needed and more for our 2 night stay... the design within the limited space was really well thought out. Would happily stay here again!

I like this simple little place, out of town but not too far out. I’m a simple man and I like a basic no frills place to stay. It’s a good spot for single persons to stay. Moses is my go to when I come up to Fairbanks.

A quaint cabin with everything you could need. We didn’t see any moose, but there was some moose poop in the yard, so we knew they had been there! Thanks for a great visit.
