Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Chemong Lake

Everything was great. The home was clean, beds really comfortable, well equipped kitchen, nice backyard, room for all of our 3 cars and very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. We had a very nice stay there and would recommend to anyone to reserve this home.

This was my second stay at The Red Brick House and we had a great time. The house is excellent, clean, in a good neighborhood and yet close to downtown. Easy communication with the hosts, I would highly recommend this ABNB.

Mitch’s place was perfect for our vacation! It’s in a peaceful area right off of a main road and the property itself feels very private. There’s plenty of amenities to enjoy like the theater, pool table, fire pit, and hot tub which was great especially on colder nights! Everything was very clean and we felt right at home. There is a railroad right across the street but it didn’t bother us in the slightest so I wouldn’t stress about it. We’re very light sleepers, too, and didn’t wake up to any trains at all throughout the week. Most of the trains that pass through are quite quiet anyways. If anything, it adds to the experience! Great stay & definitely would love to return in the future!

Chelsea’s place was absolutely beautiful ! Upon walking in the house, the view of the water is breathtaking and did not get old each morning while sipping our coffees. The home itself was very homey, and a great wide open space for gathering with friends. Chelsea was super helpful when booking, made recommendations and was super responsive during our stay with any questions we had. I would highly recommend a stay here - can’t get much closer to being “on the lake”!

Very nice stay, if we are ever in Port Hope again we will be staying here! Close to downtown, and the place is private and well kept! Would recommend!

My family of 5 and 3 dogs enjoyed our stay! It was very relaxing and description was as described and more. Even though the wifi did not work, Elyse was very accommodating and helpful! She remained reliable and available throughout our entire stay. Would definitely recommend this stay to family and friends.

Margaret seemed very nice, she left croissants in the kitchen for us to have in the morning. Overall a very cozy spot to stay and we had no issues. One thing I noticed is that there's an adjoining door that connects from her side of the building to ours and I'm not sure if it locks, maybe it does but I didn't see a lock option on my side. Anyway it still felt private and we definitely got what we paid for.

Such a lovely spot. The views of the golf course and the natural light were magnificent. The space is tastefully decorated and very clean. The bed is comfortable.

I am working on Stoney Lake for another year and Owen's place is always my go-to! The Airbnb has an extremely large parking area for my large trucks, boats, and other equipment. It is always a pleasure to visit with the hosts and to enjoy the peaceful surroundings that their property offers. I highly recommend this Airbnb to families, contractors, and anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Kawartha's.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Robin’s house was located very close to all the arena’s in Peterbourgh. We were there to watch our grandson play lacrosse. Hopefully they will return next year to this tournament. I will definetly be rebooking Robin’s loft. It was just as advertised. I also appreciated the selection of coffees. La seule chose un peu déplaisante était qu’on entend excessivement fort les enfants qui courent en haut, mais jamais à des heure déplacées. Mafruha répondait toujours très rapidement à nos questions. Meherun’s place was great and exactly as presented in the ad. She’s a very accommodating, friendly, trusting, and respectful host. The two of us stayed here for ~3 months, and the basement is spacious, modern, well furnished, well lit, and comes with a separate, private entrance. It has everything you need for long stays - modern appliances, like a large fridge/freezer, stove/oven, dish washer, washer and dryer, and a SmartTV. Two bedrooms, one with a desk I used for work-from-home and the other with a full walk-in closet. Comfy queen beds in both. Bathroom has a large shower, and modern vanity with a fancy Bluetooth mirror. The neighbourhood is nice with a paved trail near by for walking or biking. Close drive to the 401 from Salem, where there’s many stores, including Walmart, Costco, Canadian Tire, Cineplex, and restaurants. We will definitely think of staying here again the next time we’re around.

The accommodations at one time were beautiful. The house is large with many beautiful features (huge kitchen with all the amenities), large master bedroom and private en-suite, large deck with a view of the lake, and updated gas BBQ. The lake is absolutely beautiful as well. In fact, it’s one of the nicest lakes we have visited. However, the house needs a deep clean, some TLC and updating. All the screens to the doors were broken, some drawers in the kitchen were separating from their surfaces, dead bugs lay on the window sills, the floors could use a good scrub, there is a hole in the gangway to the dock, and the ladder to the dock is loose and unsafe to use. We were told there were two canoes. One was in great shape and even had seats with backs. The other should be laid to rest, as it literally was falling apart. We also found out that we could not dock a boat there because of a dispute with a neighbor. Unfortunately, the dryer broke down while we were there. We suspect that it had never been cleaned as the filter would not go in completely from all the lint and debris from years of use. We had paid for a cleaning service, but were informed a few days before arrival that the service was not available due to COVID-19 and that guests were expected to clean. The owner offered to cancel our reservation but at this late date we could not have arranged for new accommodations or for our own cleaning service. We had booked the accommodations for August. Surely, the information about the cleaning service was known months in advance since the pandemic started in February/March. The previous guests had cleaned our bathrooms and made the beds, but dishes were left in the dishwasher and on the drying rack, and tea towels and some bathroom towels were left dirty. We brought our own towels thankfully. On our last day, instead of enjoying our few remaining hours at the cottage, we spent four hours cleaning for the next guests, and quite honestly we could not do the thorough job of hired cleaning staff. The owner did reimburse us for the cleaning service, but we did not get back our time! With some TLC, repairs, and a real cleaning service, this place could have been a gem.

Beautiful home with classy decor. Home was cozy but scantily equipped with needed kitchen amenities. Be sure to read the house rules before booking! House rules are unnecessarily excessive, makes it uncomfortable to get that "home away from home" experience, so read the house rules before booking! Host must have had unpleasant situations with guests in the past. The house is gorgeously decorated and pristine, should be featured in a home magazine for real. Overall, we had a great stay!

It is a best and beautiful place to visit

Patricks place was a perfect mini get away thats close around the city! We absolutely loved how private and spacious his place is. The pool and sauna was needed on a hot day! Definitely will come back again!

This was excellent value, a beautiful lake view and an amazing primary suite. This house was perfect for 7 adults for a long weekend away. Would recommend and would definitely stay again

We recently stayed at this property while attending a graduation in Oshawa with a large group of 9 adults and 6 children. The space was spacious and able to comfortably accommodate our group, which was a huge plus. What truly stood out was how responsive and accommodating the hosts were throughout our stay. Anytime we had a concern or request, they responded promptly and made every effort to ensure we were comfortable. That level of attentiveness really made a difference for us. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the hosts for being so engaged and supportive!
