Cabin holiday rentals in Chautauqua County

As in other reviews be prepared for sulfur water. The sulfur smell is horid. However, i believe the owner has done everything he can to try to elevate it. Filters work well but they need constant flow or they can be bad instead of good. I developed rash from it. I read reviews and knew about it well in advance. The place is very comfortable and quiet location. If you listen carefully you can hear the click clock of amish on the roads. The electric heaters heat the property astonishingly well. This week we had nearly 30 inches of snow. We were sick of the snow for sure. Plenty of grocery stores and shopping nearby. Restaurants as well. Beds feel hard at first but slept like baby. No stains on sheets etc as others pointed out. Over all enjoyed our stay. IF YOUR SKIN IS SENSITIVE TO SULFUR NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. UNTIL A PERMANENT SOLUTION IS FOUND FOR THE ISSUE. We will probably rebook in 25.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay the night on our way to Niagara Falls and came across this gem. Its the most unique, beautiful, peaceful place. Angie the host and her family were very accommodating and friendly. We even sat with them by the fire for the night. The cabins are perfect sizes and very well kept. You can tell she takes pride in them and just wants everyone to enjoy their stay. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

I've stayed before, and I will continue to come back. Hands down the best host to deal with. Extremely friendly, lightning fast responses, and over the top accommodating and inviting. Couldn't have asked for a nicer, more peaceful weekend get away. Thank you again so much. Absolutely love the new cabin! So clean and spacious. Every cabin so far has been the perfect level of cozy, yet simple. Can't wait to come back again!

Awesome stay at the good vibes cabin. We had a great time it’s affordable and only an hour and a half from Niagara Falls. Super clean beautiful scenery. Highly recommend off the hook seafood in dunkirk NY only 20 minutes away. The first night Angela introduced herself to us and showed us where everything was and was very welcoming and accommodating definitely stay here if you want to camp and have a peaceful stay. Will be staying again.

Cynthia's home provided amazing views and beautiful sunsets. Our family vacation was memorable because of all the spaces indoors and outdoors that enabled us to appreciate the lake and natural surroundings. Cynthia was responsive to all of the little questions that popped up and we got to take advantage of so many restaurants and fun activities on Lake Erie and Lake Chautauqua. Our family of ten would stay again in a heartbeat!

Where to begin! Our stay at Robert's cabin was exactly what we needed. It was a beautiful location, surrounded by nature and animals (including a super friendly cat who kept visiting us outside and keeping us company on the deck). There was a Tops grocery store within a 20 minute drive which made it really easy to get food. The cabin was hand built and has so much character with lots of creative decor items. There were pots and utensils to cook with and he brought a BBQ for us to use which was amazing. It had everything we needed. Robert was very respectful and kind. He gave us lots of privacy, yet he was also really friendly when we went for a walk and stopped to chat. He showed us his animals and gave us a recommendation for taking a small adventure which ended up being really fun. I highly recommend staying here! We would love to go back one day. Thanks again Robert!!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! It was the perfect home base for our family during a busy weekend of soccer tournament games. My husband, our two kids, and my sister all felt right at home — there was plenty of space for everyone to relax between matches. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The peaceful setting was a nice contrast to the hustle of the tournament, and we appreciated being close enough to come and go easily. The hosts were thoughtful and responsive, which made the experience even smoother. We’d definitely stay here again — it made our weekend so much more enjoyable and stress-free!

Private cabin made for a peaceful stay for me and, for my dog, an exciting place to run around wooded trails and sniff. I was impressed with how communicative and responsive the hosts were, and that they were helpful in letting us know what to expect and what to pack. The cabin is truly off the grid but with cell reception. No water or electric, though they had a battery powered light, composting toilet, firepit to cook outside with wood provided, and inside stove to stay warm. Bring everything as if you were camping, minus tent/sleeping mat. What a great upgrade from camping to stay in a real bed! You can pack heavy, as the hosts will give you a ride to/from the cabin on a wagon pulled by their tractor. It’s maybe a half mile along a rough terrain road between the cabin and where you will park your car, so far enough back in the woods to feel very private and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again to explore more of the trails.

I loved my stay at Gilbert's cabins! This felt like a true home away from home and was more spacious then I thought. My kids enjoyed staying in the loft and the kitchen/livingroom area was very comfortable. Main bedroom is on first floor under stairs. Beds were comfortable and the TV had a lot of options for streaming. It would be walkable to Lily Dale if you didn't mind a walk, it's a short easy drive. The cabins are far back enough from the road to feel like a private refuge. This cabin is attached to another one and there were no other guests staying there at the time so it felt very private, would be a great place for 2-3 families to rent cabins next to each other. There are 3 on this plot. Beautiful little playground and walking distance to lake. Laundry too. There is Tim Hortons coffee at the main intersection and King Kone ice cream there too. Also a collectibles shop. There is AC and nice ceiling fans. Wonderful communication from the host, I would stay again!

We had a great stay & would highly recommend Melissa’s place for your next trip! It was a short drive to Bemus Point which was perfect for us.

This place was amazing you guys have put in a lot of work into it. Me and my family camped here for 6 years when I was a kid and coming back brought up so many memories!! Things were the same, but a lot has changed which I love! The owners were super sweet and made sure we had an amazing time! It was so peaceful! THEY ALSO HAVE WIFI!!! I think what you guys have coming in the future will make the place even more interesting/exciting! I can’t wait to come back!!

We had an amazing time at Wendy's place! The whole property is very beautiful, and the cabins and main house are perfectly decorated for a relaxing and luxurious feel. All the beds were very comfortable, and it was so nice for everyone to have their own space. Everything was spotless, and you can tell Wendy takes great care of her property. The hot tub is large, clean and easy to use. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. We instantly felt relaxed and at home in the space. The location is perfect, easy to find, and you feel secluded but are very close to towns and wineries. Lastly, Wendy is so very wonderful, and helped to make my mom's 60th birthday extra special! We will definitley be back!

Such a great place: very private, quiet and serene place to stay! No danger of disturbing other guests when you come and go. The wildlife is great: we saw deer and heard wild turkeys (anticipated) but we also saw and heard barred owls - such a treat! There are lots of places to visit on the lake like Bemus Point and Chautauqua Institution. The little town of Mayville has a great little eatery called Music for your Mouth if you want to grab some breakfast/lunch. The deck held our flat top Blackstone (we think 22") perfectly if you so desire to bring one with you (there is a perfectly good charcoal grill.) Kitchen was adequately stocked for cooking. If you want to be in the woods and very private - this is your place!

We had such a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was super peaceful, the hot tub was so relaxing and enjoyable, we cooked over the fire (awesome fire pit with comfy chairs!), and the cabin was equipped with everything we could have needed and more! The beds were comfy and the bathroom was super clean- what more could you ask for!! Thank you to our super responsive hosts!!

Such a great place to recharge and relaxed. Super private and romantic spot. A great place to get away from busy life and slow down! I recommend bringing some DVDs for the DVD player!! Amazing stay!
