Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Charlevoix County

This was the perfect place - location, convenient, beautiful surroundings. We had everything we needed. Our host was very helpful and responsive. The Lake Escape was such a relaxing home away from home. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was very clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The large backyard deck and fire pit were enjoyed daily. We appreciated the extensive binder of recommendations and instructions. The kids loved the playroom and art station in the basement. We will definitely stay again!

This place was so nice and relaxing! One thing that we were happy about is that they welcomed dogs! We have 2, 9 month old mini poodles and this was their first adventure so having a host that accepts pets was #1 on our list. This place is way better than the pictures! We felt right at home and we loved watching the boats go by on the river! The beds were so comfy and made for an even better relaxing time. I highly recommend this place. It is very private and quiet! We saw lots of different types of birds, including a couple eagles. We knew a beaver was close by but never got to see him, only his handy work. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back in the future! Thank you Donald, we soooo enjoyed your place!

This home was a perfect place for a women's mini retreat weekend. It was a very comfortable space for 6 ladies. A suggestion would be a little heater in the main floor master bath for colder months would be helpful. It is quite chilly in there. We hope to stay again sometime.

Place was absolutely perfect. We were attending a soccer tournament and the location was perfect. The fenced in backyard allowed my dog to live her best life as she thoroughly enjoyed being able to run off leash.

Absolutely perfect family getaway! We had the most wonderful stay at this cozy cottage in Boyne City. It was the perfect spot for our family with young children. The kids had a blast playing with the provided chalk, games, and toys—it made them feel right at home. It was such a relief and convenience to have a Pack ’n Play and high chair already there! The home itself is full of charm, incredibly comfortable, and had everything we needed. The beds were cozy, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We especially loved spending time on the beautiful patio—BBQing, relaxing, and ending our evenings around the bonfire with s’mores. We enjoyed so many fun adventures: watching the sunset at the beach, riding bikes to get ice cream, kayaking, visiting the Saturday farmers market, exploring the SkyBridge, and spending time at Whiting Park Beach. The location is perfect for enjoying all the local shops and restaurants too. We can’t say enough good things about our stay!

I can only echo all the other positive reviews. Very clean, comfortable, and cozy; very well thought out as a rental, with everything you might need. We would happily return.

the private staircase to enter the space was our only struggle , only due to us needing a handicap accessible space. but we managed! the stairs were very sturdy and the handrail was as well. the parking was a bit rough ground as we got out, but again, we managed. overall we were happy with our stay, and the location was perfect for where we needed to be. thank you for a great stay!

Quick stay, this place is nice, clean, quiet and has everything you need. Close to everything. I would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the boathouse. It is our third visit and it never disappoints. The boathouse was clean and cozy. Pam and Dave are lovely hosts.

We enjoyed our stay. This room was perfect for a few night stay, had basic kitchen amenities, Roku worked well, couch and lighting gave it cozy feel. Room was very clean, good use of small space. Great location. Communicative hosts. We would stay again.

John and his wife were both extremely nice and welcoming! My friend and I didn’t realize how bad the mosquitos are there this time of year so John gave us bug spray to use after he turned on the fire pit for us to enjoy. Beautiful lot as well, highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay while in town to ski. Easy walking distance to restaurants for a person that enjoys walking, even in the cold. Thanks for letting us stay in your cute airbnb!! Don and Jill

Our stay was perfect! There is even a shuttle on property that you call and they will come pick you up and take you to the base of Boyne Mountain! Great property for a weekend getaway!

We had a great stay for a winter ski trip. 20 min to Boyne highlands. Airbnb itself is very well stocked and well maintained. Host was responsive. One thing to keep in mind is there is a steep staircase to get to the unit that I imagine may not be suitable for all.

The peaceful cabin was the perfect spot for our family vacation. We felt at home in a quiet and cozy setting. Boyne City was just a short drive away and offered plenty to do. Our kids enjoyed playing at Avalanche Park and getting some delicious local ice cream. We visited several surrounding beaches and spent hours rockhounding (our favorite family hobby). The cabin porch was the perfect spot for enjoying a good book and listening to the birds sing. We took advantage of the board games in the evenings or cozied up in the king size bed to enjoy a movie. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back someday.

My girlfriend and I loved the little cabin, it was a perfect location with lots to do just minutes away!

The place was impeccable, & the inside construction was brand new. all the amenities were excellent. The hosts were extremely friendly and easy to reach. There were so many thoughtful things that the hosts kept at the house for us guests to use. The property is on a (relatively) small lot, with closely adjacent neighbors. but that didn't bother us. and it served our purpose of spending the night , going to the city, and the international lights park. etc. oh, and thanks for the fudge 🎂😉 Loved everything about this place. .

We had a lovely stay at Renee and Simon’s cabin. The place was cozy, charming, and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend getaway. The property exceeded our expectations — just a one-minute walk to a beautiful private lake, where we spent our evenings watching loons, beavers, and swans. The hospitality was more than we could ask for. It was a peaceful and memorable escape.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The cottage exceeded our expectations, the setting was private, and the view was spectacular. Our family wants to make this an annual tradition!

Nothing but praises for Patricia & John. Out of all of my airBnB stays, the welcoming rustic environment they have created at the Balsams is untouched in comparison to others & holds a special place for us. This was our second stay and it only expanded on the amazing first time we had. Simple things like local suggestions, dvd titles on hand to browse through (no cable or wifi here folks), owners available to just talk added so much to the care of our stay + comforts available. Plus the history of the Balsams alone adds depth for those willing to dig in a little bit on the knowledge provided (check out the cabin binder for more). Thank you both again - we look forward to our next trip & wish you both the best!

This is our 2nd time staying here. The cabin is cozy and clean. Had everything we needed. Luke always leaves fresh fudge when we arrive which is a nice treat! Thanks for another great stay!
