Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Chalikounas

From before we arrived Alexandros was communicative and helpful. The house is fantastic. To arrive & have food and drink in the fridge, and other treats, felt very special. They really have thought of everything and more. I can’t get over the view. Absolutely stunning. And to hear the sea lapping up on the shore. The walk to the almost deserted beach isn’t easy but well worth it. You definitely deserve a cold drink on return! (Sturdy trainers recommended). Clearest water I’ve seen for a long while. And you have to build at least one flat pebble tower. It’s quite addictive… Star watching (& bat watching). The cats are wonderful and we grew very attached to them. Alessandros’s parents are always on hand and have lots of useful info on where to eat, and places to visit. And they are very lovely too. We only had a short 5 day break, but feel refreshed & rested (& quite toned from that hill!). Would highly recommend without any doubts. If only everywhere one booked was as good as this.

Eine Woche noch vor dem Hochbetrieb und es war Ruhe pur und sehr privat. Das Meer ist immer und überall zu hören und zu sehen. Das Appartement selbst ist kompakt, was innen vielleicht an Platz fehlt, wird durch die grosse Terrasse, die das Wohn- und Esszimmer ersetzt, mehr als kompensiert.

Wir waren für 12 Nächte mit unserem 2,5 jährigen Sohn in Olga‘s Haus. Der Check-in abends um 21 Uhr war problemlos möglich- das war super. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Besonders gut fanden wir die vorhandene Waschmaschine und Klimaanlage. Auch der große Aussenbereich war herrlich. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Wir hatten den einen Tag Stromausfall. Eine Vorwarnung wäre super gewesen😁 Vielen Dank an Olga und Nico für alles.

The place we stayed at was something we could only dream of. A small house with an incredible view, together with an amazing pool. The house was very private. Victoria is a great host and person. All communication was very fast and polite. Might go again in the future

Die Unterkunft ist einfach wunderschön! Man merkt, dass mit viel Liebe eingerichtet wurde und sich auch jetzt noch sehr gut gekümmert wird. Es ist super sauber gewesen und wurde auch während unseres Aufenthalts noch einmal sehr gründlich geputzt. Die Gastgeberinnen sind zudem sehr freundlich, haben sich immer wieder nach uns erkundigt und sind schnell erreichbar gewesen. Der Blick auf das Meer sowie die Lage am Strand versüßen einem morgens direkt den Tag. Wir waren super happy und werden definitiv wiederkommen!!

We spent a few days in Mesongi as a family of four while exploring Corfu, and our stay at George’s place was a memorable highlight. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. What truly set it apart was the warmth and hospitality George provided—it felt more personal and inviting than our subsequent stay at the larger Apollo Resort. That said, it’s important to know that the apartment sits above a vibrant and excellent traditional restaurant (which we highly recommend). With that comes some evening noise—clattering plates, conversation, and the energy of a Greek taverna in full swing. If you’re a light sleeper or turn in early, it may take some adjusting. Overall, if you value local flavor, authentic hospitality, and a central location in a lively village, this is a fantastic choice.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Alles war sauber und ordentlich aufgeräumt, die tägliche Reinigung hat super funktioniert und das Frühstück war wirklich hervorragend – eine tolle Auswahl und alles frisch. Einen kleinen Abzug gibt es dafür, dass unser Ansprechpartner sich an einem Tag gar nicht gemeldet hat, obwohl wir versucht haben, ihn zu erreichen. Das war etwas schade. Trotzdem haben wir uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen!

Je suis resté 7 nuits à Kamara et j'ai apprécié le calme. Il est nécessaire de disposer d'une voiture. Cela m'a permis de visiter l'île de Kassiopi à Lefkimmi et de Kavos au cap Drastis. Dans le village on se gare au parking communal distant de 100 mètres du logement. Pour Corfou ville j'ai réservé un logement dans cette ville. Le mari de Giorgia est venu me voir juste après mon arrivée pour me donner des informations. Lors de mon arrivée il y avait une corbeille de fruits, une bouteille d'eau et une de vin.

Fantastic place to stay in Corfu! Persefoni & Kostas were amazing and always available to assist me with any needs that I had. The room is comfortable, clean, and comes with a GORGEOUS view. I will be back! :)

Elena, die Frau, die uns im Urlaub unterstützt hat, wohnte direkt nebenan. Sie war sehr lieb, sehr kompetent und sehr hilfsbereit. Man konnte sich sehr gut auf englisch mit ihr unterhalten. Die Wohnung ist hochwertig ausgestattet, alles sauber und aufgeräumt. Das Bett ist gut, die Küche gut ausgestattet, das Wohnzimmer ist groß genug. Der direkt davor liegende Rasen mit Liegen und Sonnenschirm lädt zum Relaxen ein, mit großartigem Ausblick auf das Meer. Man sollte unbedingt einen Leihwagen buchen, zu Fuß ist kaum etwas zu erreichen. Auf der ganzen Insel außer in der Hauptstadt ist zu Fuß gehen nicht vorgesehen. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Urlaub zumal das Wetter auch sehr gut war.

What a cute little apartment. It had everything one needs: all the basic amenities plus an AC, a TV (with many channels), a hair dryer, and they even let me borrow an umbrella and gave me a pair of house slippers after I requested them. The front yard smells like an orchard in full bloom. Very tranquil and a stone's throw from the Green bus stop where buses to Corfu town come every hour or so. All in all, this experience was nothing short of wonderful and I wish I had stayed here longer. Thank you so much Alexandra and Panos.

George und Nikos waren sehr aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Der Blick aus dem Apartment ist traumhaft aufs Meer und täglichem Sonnenaufgang. Die Aussendusche ist erfrischend, naturnah. Der Naturstrand ist ganz in der Nähe, das Meer herrlich. Das Apartment mit kleiner Küche hat alles was es braucht, um einen erholsamen Urlaub zu genießen. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wir kommen gern wieder. Danke für die wunderschöne Zeit dort. Herzliche Grüße Mario und Susann

Merci pour tout. Endroit calme avec peu de logements occupés lors de notre séjour (rassurez-vous il n’y a pas beaucoup de logement). Très beau jardin bien entretenu. Très jolie piscine.

Super vriendelijke host! We zijn hier met open armen ontvangen en hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in Ksamil. Het appartement beschikt over alle benodigdheden en het is slechts een klein stukje wandelen naar een prachtig strand

This was our 2nd visit to Estia House and it was just as wonderful as last year. I've lost count of how many Airbnb self catering apartments we've stayed in but l can honestly say thrse apartments are the best equipped we've ever stayed in. There's literally nothing you need that isn't supplied by the lovely owner. It's literally better equipped than mg own house 😂. Peaceful location and a short walk to Benitses town centre with plenty of restaurants along the way and almost opposite Big Bite which is a great restaurant on the beach. Extremely comfortable beds and I'm very fussy about about beds and pillows. Would happily recommend for a peaceful comfortable stay in Benitses.

Athina’s air bnb was so amazing- it was a cozy loft right in the centre of old town. She was very responsive to our messages and provided very clear instructions. Highly recommend :)

The apartment is in a top location and decorated in style with the area. We in particular enjoyed sitting on the little balcony, watching live go on in the street below. A street musician passed one evening while the swallows would be visiting us every morning and evening. An excellent stay in a beautiful town.

Sofia is a wonderful and kind host, she welcomed us although we have made the booking in the last minute! The place is great, equipped with everything we needed, the coffee was a life saver 😊 It's minutes on foot to the old town, we have enjoyed it very much! thank you so much for your kindness and flexibility! and for the wonderful tips to get around the city😊

Xanthis communication is great. Really responsive and helpful For example she helped with car hire. Her welcome is warm and she provides lots of info about the town. The apartment is as the photos show. Spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything you might need What the photos do not show is the views from the balconies and roof terrace which are amazing! The apartment is in a great location. It is 20 mins walk to almost everything. The old town,the liston, the fort, the museums and the beaches The museums are to be recommended particularly the Byzantine and Asian. Corfu town is the perfect mix of culture, night life and the beach. I would recommend it as a destination and Xanthi is the perfect host. Thank you

This is a lovely place to stay: bright and airy with a marvellous view out onto the sea. It's at the edge of the old town, so it's really quick and easy (especially with the help of your phone) to find your way around. The Faliraki beach is a five minute walk if you need a quick swim and there are plenty of nice places to eat all around. Apostolia could not have been more helpful with instructions, advice and recommendations. We had a wonderful holiday there.

Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und verfügt über alles, was man so braucht. Man ist direkt an der Promenade und kann Restaurants und Shops problemlos zu Fuß erreichen. Auch vom Hafen zur Wohnung ist es nur ein Katzensprung. Der Balkon mit dem Ausblick über Saranda ist wirklich schön :) Was noch gut zu wissen wäre, ist, dass einige Reihen hinter dem Haus ein Muezzin mehrmals am Tag zum Gebet ausruft und das auch in der Nacht. Wer das nicht gewohnt ist, sollte ein paar Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen :)

Had a wonderful week in Corfu. Very friendly host, airbnb was bigger than expected and the view was incredible. Location was fantastic; lots of tavernas nearby and a lovely little supermarket underneath with a friendly owner and gorgeous cats! It’s worth noting that access is via a short, but steep incline, so maybe not good for anyone with restricted mobility. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the beauties of Corfu.

Chris nous a accueillis personnellement à notre arrivée dans son superbe appartement, moderne et bien équipé. Très spacieux pour 2 personnes. Une magnifique terrasse propre, avec tout le mobilier nécessaire et surtout une très belle vue sur la baie de Saranda : vraiment très agréable pour les repas. Le lave-linge est un plus. Attention, ce n'est pas précisé dans l'annonce, il s'agit d'un 4e étage sans ascenseur : la vue se mérite.
