Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Chaffee County

This is our third time staying at Jackie’s rental. We love the location! Walk out the front door and you’re a few steps to the restaurants, shops and entertainment. It’s a perfect spot for our family- including our dog!

This was the perfect place for eight adults to stay for the trail race in Buena Vista. There was plenty of room and large open kitchen and living room for all of us to gather and have dinners.

The house is nice and in a good location within walking distance of the aquatic center and a brewery restaurant. Rooms are a good size and beds are comfortable. The kitchen has several small appliances including a coffee maker, electric kettle, and toaster so that made things easier. The bonus was several appearances by deer on the front lawn! Salida is a great town with friendly people, great hiking, and beautiful scenery. We will be back!

It’s the perfect location on the trail not far from downtown. We walked everyday.

One of my favorite places that we stayed. We were looking for a practical and quiet refuge to regroup from family celebrations. This fit the bill in all ways. It was comfortable and clean, conveniently located, and EASY. It was especially nice to have a pet friendly place that didn’t have evidence of all the pets before. And nice, thick TOWELS for days and days. How nice to have enough towels! ::hoping other Airbnb folks take note:: Karen was welcoming and warm and I am 100% positive that we will stay here again when we visit family in Salida.

This was the perfect place for our weekend stay! So walkable to all of downtown Salida, and stayed cool during the warm weekend. Instructions were clear and communication was very proactive. Thank you!

This is the ideal spot in BV if you’re with a group, especially dogs and kids! Great walkable access to Main Street and parks. The house was stocked with kid essentials (stool, dishes, pack n play, toys) and the yard was great for our dog. Spacious primary bedroom. Rob was very responsive. Would book again if we’re lucky enough to visit BV another time!

We really enjoyed this spot. It’s a nice size and great location to walk for food and shopping. Clean and would have been great with our dog who we decided last minute to leave home. Hosts were great. We would come back! Recommend!

Lovely and spacious cabin in a gorgeous location, minutes from Mt Princeton Hot Springs and an easy drive into Salida or Buena Vista. Our family of 4 plus our pup really enjoyed the experience! The only concern about this particular cabin was that there were no blinds on the front windows/door- they were apparently destroyed a few months prior and hadn’t been replaced yet- which made for a somewhat exposed feeling at night. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are a little dated, but they are in the midst of and ownership change and it sounds like they’ll be making updates soon. Overall a lovely time for a decent price- we would definitely stay again.

Stacey's cabin was the maximum, I would definitely return with my family, it's just what the photos show, we were in a large motorhome and the access was easy and close to the mountain for skiing, thank you very much!

We enjoyed our quiet getaway! The amenities were clean and our stay was wonderful.

We had a great stay at iron city. The cabin was very comfortable and dog friendly. We had privacy and were able to feel right at home. The scenery was beautiful I would definitely recommend to others

This was a great place to stay with a little toddler for a weekend trip. The house is clean and well-kept and extremely peaceful! Thank you Amanda and Rob!

The Salida farm stay was a great place to kick back and relax with the animals. All while being close to town and all the activities we wanted to do in the mountains.

Great location - walkable to restaurants, shops and parks. Ashley was very responsive and her bungalow is laid out well with all the amenities needed for your stay!

Beautiful home! Very peaceful with awesome views and just a short drive into town. If you're looking for a place to relax, get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and spend time with friends or family, this is it!

As I think I heard someone else say, “think camping, but with four walls instead of a tent.” This was my second time visiting. Tons of privacy. Very isolated and wild. Nestled at almost 12,000 feet. Cookware, a heater, and an outdoor stove was available when I went. The beds kept me comfortable. Be sure to bring your own supplies though. Water, lanterns, food for the whole stay. If you have a four wheel drive take Cumberland pass to Tincup, and visit mirror lake while you’re there. Wonderful. I can picture myself coming a third time.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Doug and felt right at home at his little rustic cabin nestled in an Aspen grove by the creek. The surrounding area is beautiful and Doug was very helpful with local recommendations. Bonus points for helping us load the car after I came down with appendicitis on our last day and had to have an appendectomy, which limited my lifting capabilities. Thanks, Doug! We’ll definitely look at coming back soon! And hopefully I’ll not lose another organ while I’m there! :-)

The place was perfect for us. It was conveniently located tight next to where a family member worked at a white water rafting place. Close to a few places to walk to. As well as stunning views from the front yard. We will definitely stay here again.

Lovely Airbnb close to downtown BV and hiking nearby. Backyard/porch was perfect for hanging out.
