Holiday rentals with a kayak in Central Louisiana

The amenities for outside family fun and entertainment were 5 star. So many great memories made here outside on the water, in the back yard as well as inside laughs playing Pictionary with the chalk board. Some of the best fishing we have experienced on any of our Toledo Bend stays. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Will book this one again !

Beautiful and comfortable home. Great kitchen and well stocked. The grill was a hit allowing us to grill burgers/sausage for family. Plenty of towels, garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels just to name a few items to make our stay perfect. The coffee bar and waffle set up was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Our weekend at A Frame of Mind in Toledo Bend was truly special. From the moment we walked in, we felt cared for. The A-frame was spotless, beautifully decorated, and smelled wonderful. Jade was such a kind and thoughtful host—she reached out with helpful info, including fishing guides and fun spots for the kids. We loved the screened-in porch with its cozy swing and big TV. The backyard was magical—grilling steaks, sitting by the fire, and enjoying the sweet s’mores kit Jade left for us. The cornhole setup under the lights was so much fun, and the mural behind it made for beautiful family photos. We fished for crappie and sun perch right off the back. One of my favorite moments was kayaking through the still water under pecan and pine trees into Toledo Bend—spotting squirrels, bluebirds, woodpeckers, turtles, and even a raccoon across the waterway. Peaceful, quiet, and full of wonder. We can’t wait to return ❤️

Really cool fish cabin on a beautiful lake. Understand this is a fish cabin (i.e. "camp house") and not the Taj Mahal. David's place is accurately described and photographed. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean. As I was sitting on the porch in the early morning drinking coffee, a bird hopped on my leg and visited for a moment! Would definitely stay again if the opportunity presents itself!

We had such a great time here. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our stay. The screened in back porch was amazing. The kids really enjoyed the dock fishing and kayaking. We had such a peaceful weekend and will hopefully be back again!

The lake house was beautiful and its location was so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings while looking at the water and watching the birds.

Beautiful views. Great cabin. Better than pics show. Clean clear water and a wonderful dock. We docked our bass boat overnight, steps to the house. My picky wife enjoyed as well.

Our favorite lake house, by far. Spacious enough for 8 adults with 3 boats, with plenty of options to enjoy the beautiful lake whether from the balcony, concreted grond level, pier/ boat dock, kayaks or float pad, we took it all in! Thank you Megan, you are an excellent host!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The 2nd night there a huge storm hit and we lost electricity. Within an hour they had the generator up and running for us! I just hope every Airbnb I ever stay in has such wonderful hosts! The house fit our huge family perfectly. They even had toys for the infant grandbabies so we didn’t have to pack as much. The kitchen was beyond fully stocked for a great vacay. And T he views were AMAZING!!!

super cute, super comfortable cabin, right on the water. fenced in porch was great for the pups and the provided kayaks were in great condition and super fun to paddle around the lake. I was a little hesitant about using the outside shower, but it was fine. mattresses were very comfortable. views of the sunset were stunning. the BBQ grille was a little wobbly, but it worked fine

The house and location were perfect for us. We were in town for a graduation at LSMSA. We were 15 minutes from the school. There were 8 of us and a baby with 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed the dock and both porches. It was very relaxing between all of the activities. I would recommend staying here.

The pictures don't do justice how beautiful and amazing it is...and the fishing 👌kids loved it and the outdoor bar hangout was nice smoking some ribs drinking and cold one while enjoying the view couldn't ask for more...

Paiton was very responsive and a great host. Beautiful waterfront cabin. We highly recommend Paitons place!
