delightful, comfortable and romantic; bright, airy but cozy, the cabin is the perfect place for two. the cabin, built in 1948 as a simple summer vacation home, was recently restored and regained its original spirit. redwood in the interior, douglas fir for the structure and complemented with a pinewood floor, it is a very organic building. the interior is updated and renovated and expresses a scandinavian sensibility culminating in an efficient and minimalistic design.
“This cabin is in a beautiful location with nearby running water, majestic trees, interesting art and books, local wifi, and a cute, nearby market for any items you may need for your stay. The checking in and checking out process was exceedingly simple and straightforward, and Olyver provided all the information we could ever need in a straightforward email before we arrived. I definitely recommend this cabin and this host, and I hope I'll have an opportunity to visit again in the future!”
Sequoia Beach Dreamery is truly a dream come true. Guests love this private, peaceful retreat, and come back year after year!
“What an incredible location and cabin! We spent an amazing Christmas eve, perfect spot to relax in front of the fireplace, listen good music (great selection of music cassettes!) and enjoy the jaccuzi! The cabin was perfectly clean and very nicely decorated with Japanese style. The kitchen is well equipped and it's very nice to cook with the views on the river! Obviously this place is quite expensive but it's worth it! Only one negative comment, that is actually a detail: when you book through Airbnb, you will have to sign and send another renting contract on top of the Airbnb conditions, which is something I'm not used to do. You will also receive several automatic emails. It's good to receive some information but it felt a little bit overwhelming for just a couple of days reservation... Would be better to gather everything in a single email. Anyway, thank you very much for this amazing stay!”
Wake up to the smells of yeasty breads baking and buttery pastries with the gently sounds of the creek. Austin Creek is a mere 15 feet from you cottage!
“I cannot say enough about how magical our stay at Raymond's Bakery was. Mark has created such a wonderful corner of the world out there in the Redwoods, and we're counting the days 'til we can go back. The cottage itself was incredibly cozy, and the full experience of Mark's generosity as a host is something we'll never forget. This is truly the most authentic B&B I've ever experienced, in that the fresh baked goodies are endless, the cottages are homey, and joyful community is immediately built (but privacy respected if that's what you're looking for!). Each cottage onsite looked wonderful, but we loved Creekside because of it's proximity to just that--the creek! Towering redwoods outside, rushing water down the hill, and Mark's smiling face and fresh bread, pastries, focaccia, beer and wine waiting for you in the main Bakery... seriously, we can't wait to get back, especially for the live music and pizza nights. You'll leave feeling a fresh load of hope for humanity, too. Run, don't walk, to Raymond's Bakery!”
