Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cavan

A group of mums and kids (age 6-11) had a fabulous stay. The house is perfect for a group or large family. The house was perfectly set up with lots of amenities in the kitchen so we were able to cook proper meals. The garden was great for the kids. The area had a lot of places to visit though would recommend having a car as the house is a little way from pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Caroline and Patrick's! Even though the weather wasn't great, there was so much for us and the kids to do! The pool was fantastic, basketball, tennis, etc- something for all of us. The house was spotless and we had everything we needed. The bed linen was so soft and the mattresses very comfortable. The indoor fire was also very special. We were so grateful for our stay, and can't wait to visit again! Simply can't recommend enough!

Great house for a family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children). Daniel was very responsive to our queries and even put up a little Christmas tree for us 🎄

Stephen was an excellent host. His house was spotless. Clear instructions for the kitchen, bathroom, tv and even left sausages, bacon , and eggs in the fridge for breakfast. Highly recommend this host.

We had a wonderful few days here — the perfect base for exploring the area. The house had everything we needed and more, and it was incredibly comfortable. It really felt like a home away from home. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous apartment it has everything you need. Very comfortable and welcoming. There was a storm the night before check in and Margaret was in contact with updates. The power had been off but by the time we got there all was restored and Margaret had the heating on which gave a very homely, cosy feel when we walked in. Everything about our stay was perfect we would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Margaret for all your help.

Stayed here for a wedding at Virginia Park lodge, location was perfect and just a 5 min walk. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Check in was really clear and Joanne accommodated us with an early check in which was very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again Thanks Joanne!

We had pretty wet and not overly warm weather; but the accommodation more than made up for it. It’s cosy and very comfortable and you can easily while away hours looking at all the books and records and memorabilia. Especially loved the view from the lounge area. Jim was very welcoming; friendly and kind. A real gent. Top place to stay.

Ann Marie and Pheilim have an amazing Air bnb, it was spotless, smelled lovely and was nice and quiet. I would really recommend this place for a short stay as I did, I stayed with a friend and they made us feel so well and were really accommodating and friendly. They were both incredibly responsive and gave us great recommendations. Thanks again!

Irish cottage dream!! ... that is how I would describe Toddy's. I stayed in the Hideaway in the back and it was just like the pictures. Perfect for 1 or 2 people. A very comfortable bed, kitchenette and everything you need. The location is close enough to drive to Ballinagh (or a long walk) and Cavan Town, and private and peaceful. You wake up in the morning to gorgeous views and sheep in the next field. I also had a peek into the cottage as it wasn't booked and would love to stay there next time! Aishling was VERY responsive and proactive and appeared within the minute when I needed some help. Great job Aishling!

Lovely apartment. Very easy to find and close to surrounding area. Paula was very responsive and helpful.

Would recommend this flat to any of my friends and family going to Cavan a nice clean place to stay

Norbert greeted us and was very friendly and showed us where everything was and added bonus of ingredients to make a fry up. The place was lovely and clean very comfortable beds fully equipped kitchen and washing machine and tumble dryer. Couple of minutes walk to pub and convinence store and about 10 min drive to town. Highly recommended staying here for peace and quiet.

This property is modern, clean, private and quiet. It matches the photos and description. It is right in the middle of town, and a nine minute drive to the Loughcrew Cairns , perfect for a sunrise hike for the spring equinox. Thanks Kevin

We had a fantastic experience and Sharon’s hospitality went way beyond our expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend taking the opportunity to spend time at the cottage. Sharon and her whole family are very welcoming, helpful and generous with their time and the nice extras including lovely fresh flowers, welcome pack etc.

We had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage. The apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The host Jamie was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend!

Aidan was an exceptional host—friendly, thoughtful, and incredibly accommodating. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and at ease. The space was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described, with plenty of personal touches that showed how much care he puts into hosting. We had a lovely stay in the POD. It was so clean and looked exactly as it was described. Maria was a great host and showed us around when we arrived. We were lucky enough for their lovely dog, Molly, to pay us a visit! The scenery was beautiful and we especially enjoyed the hot tub!

Ally has created a haven and is a very welcoming host. The room was more than I expected - spacious, great views to the nearby river and lakes beyond, clean and very comfortable. Within a few minutes walk you can be in the woodlands surrounded by birdsong. Ally works incredibly hard and bakes fresh cakes for her tea room too. Absolutely worth the money.

Gerry and Josephine were extremely welcoming and friendly. The apartment was very clean and we really appreciated the cereal boxes, brown bread and fresh milk being left for us. A great host.
