Cottage holiday rentals in Castro Urdiales

Host and their family went out of their way to assist us. Together we looked through our trip itinerary and made additional suggestions where appropriate. They helped us when we broke down with a flat tire communicating with the rental car company to get us a new rental and tow truck. Our last day we thought we had left some items at the rental after we had checked out and they went back to open the house up to allow us to get back inside and find our items. Very friendly. The house was great and overlooks a valley with the towns below. We were visited by cows and sheep and all the snails and slugs natural to the area. After hiking, biking, and visiting the surrounding towns it was a nice relaxing spot to come back to. I would highly recommend!

Highly recommended. We spent two nights, a group of 8 friends. The house is beautiful, spacious, cozy, tastefully decorated, has all the details. We were very pleased, and looking forward to repeating.

We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful cottage. The very well-equipped kitchen, jacuzzi and swimming pool very well cared for, and the neighbor's dog is very friendly. There are amazing landscapes around the area (we went to a beautiful waterfall). But above all, I would highlight the kindness and good communication with Veronica, she was very flexible and she was attentive to us when we needed it for punctual issues. ☺️ We would definitely repeat in this dream house ❤️ Thank you!!!

Antonio is a fantastic host. Super responsive and very helpful especially with recommendations for local walks and for helping with animal health certificate requirements for returning to the UK. The house was big enough for the 11 of us and there was plenty for all of us to do for the whole week we were there. Any issues we had were resolved incredibly quickly by Antonio. Just a short walk from the house is a lovely little cafe that sells baguettes, coffee and some alcohol - very reasonably priced but please note only takes cash which caught us out on our first visit. We visited Balmaseda a couple of times which has an incredible bakery which I would very much recommend. The train station is less than 5 minutes walk but we didn’t get the train whilst we were there - it may have been quicker to get to bilbao and something to check out if you visit again. One of my best experiences ever . Irati was absolutely superb from start to finish an excellent communicator and nothing was too much bother . The cottage was delight ful and the scenery was amazing . She even organised our taxi in and out of the city not to mention booking our tables at the restaurants we ate in . Out of 10 I would give her 11

Great place and very accommodating

We had a great time at Ana's place, the perfect location. Everything was clean and tidy.

This charming studio cabin is situated in the foothills of Cambria . Beaches are really close by 10 - 25 minutes , great to explore the coastline especially east of Santander . Nice restaurants by the coast but we found the best restaurant serving high quality Spanish food just down the road in Suesa called « bonabo » so friendly , but the homemade food was just so good. The cabin is basic but well situated. Shower and toilet very small. The garden surrounding is excellent for dogs, there are animals in the fields surrounding the cabin, our dog wasn’t worried about them and didn’t worry them. A lovely little place to go.

We had a weekend with the family for Grandpa's birthday and we were all delighted. The surroundings are gorgeous with those green mountains and next to the forest trees, we enjoyed both the back patio and the front porch, we dined in the kitchen that it has fully equipped and comfortable. House equipped with barbecue and firewood that we enjoy a lot. Very comfortable beds and pillows, we sleep great. The upstairs bedroom room has some belux on the ceiling that we forgot to see if they could be closed before bed, it's a matter of asking. It has a magnifying glass and other nearby supermarkets where we bought what we had forgotten. We would definitely repeat

Myself and my extended family (including a toddler and a baby) stayed in Lucía's place for 5 nights. We loved it. Very spacious home with a nice private outdoor area. Also a covered outdoor dining area. The house was a very close walk to Mioño and about a 30 minute walk to Castro urdiales. There was plenty of parking outside the house. I would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to relax with your family that feels rural but is still close to amenities. We loved our stay

Great Peaceful Location, away from the usual crowded touristy places, but with lots to do and visit in the area, for interesting and fun day trips and beach only 50 minutes away.

The accommodation was in a nice area, with a great view of Santander and the bay, and very quiet. The location is very good to visit Cantabria, we went with a dog and a baby and it was very comfortable to move and visit things. On the other hand, Dany and she is very friendly and pleasant and was always attentive to if we needed anything, being very fluid communication.

The house was impeccable, with everything you need to feel comfortable. The environment is beautiful, there is a lot of peace and tranquility, and it has spectacular views. Laura, the hostess, was attentive to whether we needed anything, and left us some sobaos and quesada to welcome us. We went with family and friends to spend the weekend and we wanted to spend more days there. In short, we felt right at home.

The house is equipped with absolutely everything you need, including a welcome gift that we greatly appreciated. The house is perfect for a group of friends or family, with a magnificent garden to enjoy together. We loved the village. 100% recommended!!

Julia was the perfect host. Very helpful. The house is beautiful in every aspect and immaculate. We liked that it is private but within easy walking distance to Selaya. Highly recommend both Julia and her house.

This house was absolutely breathtaking. Although it is not in a main city it is definitely close by and worth a stay. This place overlooks a beautiful vineyard and makes you feel like you're in a little oasis. The outdoor entertainment was amazing with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue that allows for wonderful nights enjoying your time. The views are incredible, the town is peaceful. Hosts were extremely kind, helpful and gave great recommendations.

A wonderful accommodation in a beautiful environment. Very enjoyed the tranquility, the cottage and the surroundings. Upon arrival, the fireplace was already on and there was a delicious homemade cake ready and fresh eggs. Communicated well with the host using Google Translate.

Our stay at "El Alto del Fresno" was delicious. The house is surrounded by nature and tranquility and also overlooks the sea. The house was very clean and very spacious and had everything you need. I want to particularly thank Carlos and María for their kindness and closeness in the treatment. At all times I was able to contact them and they made it easier for us to change last minute without any problem. I also want to recommend to anyone, who has not been to this region, who is approaching. Castro Urdiales is a beautiful seafaring city and in addition to having some beaches and a splendid walk, it eats well anywhere. When we return from vacation, we will certainly return to "El Alto de Fresno" :-)

We were 4 families (4 couples with 4 babies) and we were very comfortable!☺️ The accommodation is in a very quiet area It has two wonderful terraces and a large garden. The BBQ in good weather is a joy, as there are several tables with enough chairs to enjoy that moment all together! All the rooms are spacious and have enough space to move around without any problems, and the beds are very comfortable too! The layout and signage they have used within the accommodation is very comfortable and clear, which makes Jaime's directions easy and comfortable to understand☺️ Jaime quickly answered all the questions that we had. I definitely recommend the accommodation! Many thanks Jaime!

Fully equipped house, the first time I've found all kinds of kitchenware and cleaning products. Very spacious and comfortable, the porch and garden are a luxury, located in a very quiet village with sufficient services. Very well located, close to all areas of interest. Totally recommended. I'll definitely be back.

Wonderful house & amazing view

Our stay has been amazing. The place is great, in the middle of nature, an ideal and peaceful place to relax. A beautiful garden and a very chulo apartment. In addition, it is 10 minutes away from the beach. And what about Itziar, it's a charm, attentive to everything you ask for and even what you might need. You can tell that he does what he likes, because he also takes care of everything at the millimeter. My pleasure
