Your hosts, Ann & Kevin live in the main house, about 100 metres from the lake-side cottage and are available if needed, or can be very discreet. Set on 5 acres of mainly native bushland, our cottage is a real retreat from the urban rat race. The cottage is well equipped with everything to make your stay enjoyable. We have central hydronic heating but the 2 large open fireplaces are a real feature of the cottage. We are regularly visited by kangaroos, kookaburras and other native wildlife. Fur kids are entirely welcome and we have a secure area with a large kennel if you want to leave them while you explore the delights of Daylesford.

Retro couple's retreat with sauna and plunge pool

Remember when Airbnb was actually staying in people's homes and that was fun? But rarely this fun. Our place has a stone sauna, big cold-plunge with deck chairs, a huge deck, 'sky bath', beautiful outside dinner table, ping-pong and homemade chess set. Inside, an LED four-poster bed and massage table. You're so close to nature walks and the cultural centre of Castlemaine with its music venues and art spaces. Up to 2 well behaved dogs welcome - but add each dog when booking. No cats, sorry.

A country escape for nature lovers. Very spacious with large lounge dining room leading out to front deck with spectacular views along with 2nd sitting room with a BBQ deck.
