For larger parties or reunions book the entire building (Big Fish & Bigger Fish). "WOW, the pictures don't do it justice", is the comment we most often get when guests walk into Big & Bigger Fish. You aren't just close to the beach, you're AT the beach! 2 large glass bifold doors bring the deck, ocean breezes and California sunshine right into your kitchen, dining room & living room on the penthouse level. The lower level has a second living room with gorgeous ocean, sand and white water views. Skylights fill this condo with plenty of natural light, making for the perfect California vacation. The beds are comfy with cloud like comforters that keep you the perfect temperature while the sounds of the waves lull you to sleep. Cozy throw blankets & an infrared heater are available for cooler mornings or evenings on the deck. AC for those warmer days and nights. Our towels are soft and our linens are silky smooth. Check the surf while you take your morning shower. Hot outdoor shower to wash the beach off sandy bodies and feet. Parking is a breeze. We provide all you need for beach days. You'll never want to leave! Our warm outdoor shower will have you ready for some serious R & R after your day at the beach. We also have a foot washer near the front entrance, to keep sandy feet at bay. We like to welcome you into the property and walk you through the amenities. The condo is in the popular Pier Bowl, which includes the San Clemente Pier and Beach, Parque Del Mar Park, and walking and biking trails. Avenida Del Mar, filled with exceptional dining spots and unique shops, connects to downtown San Clemente. Take the 5 freeway and exit at El Camino Real or Palizada. Drive toward the ocean on Del Mar street to get a feel for the town and you'll head right for Bigger Fish. Public transportation is available with the San Clemente Shuttle, a service that picks up right across from the pier. CITY TAX FEE: The city of San Clemente charges a 10% tax for all short term rental bookings. This amount plus 10% tax fee on housekeeping will be requested through Airbnb after you book your reservation. We have electronic door and garage codes to make it easy for you to get in and out. There is also a separate beach storage closet for all of your beach needs with a separate code. We'll provide all of these for you prior to your arrival. Please text us with your arrival eta so we can meet & welcome you into the property. Check in is typically at 4:00. During peak & busy seasons, we enforce a strict check out time of 11:00am. This ensures that our cleaning crew has enough time to prepare for our next guests. We want everyone to walk into a sparkling clean vacation experience. Late guests result in additional cleaning fees. Check outs after 11:00am may be charged $100 per hour for each hour late.

As you walk up to the 2nd story you will enter the property to a fully furnished deck with the best views in all of Cardiff. The enormous deck measures 900 square feet. You can sunbathe, have bbq’s in the outdoor dining area or sit by the firepit and watch the amazing Cardiff sunsets. When you enter this clean contemporary fresh Oasis you will be pleasantly surprised with the quartzite stone island and countertops which has seating for 6. Enjoying your Sauvignon with raw Oysters and views straight to the Pacific will be a lasting memory for this vacation. This open concept beauty is inviting and with its warm wood pieces, it completes the casual chic décor. The newly remodeled bathrooms add a luxury to your spa like experience and the beautiful bedrooms will offer the best night sleep. After a day in the sun and surf, you can shower in the beautiful outdoor shower and refresh for the evening ahead. You can rent the Cardiff Penthouse or the Cardiff Parkhouse separately or if you have a family event, you can rent out the entire duplex and create the magic only Cardiff-by-the-Sea can offer. The Parkhouse house also comes with beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. This exquisite property is located in the beach community of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, with beautiful Glenn Park across the street. It's also within walking distance of a world-class specialty market, Starbucks, and leading restaurants, as well as the Pacific Ocean.

The one bedroom, one bath unit was recently remodeled (in 2017) and includes all new kitchen, bathroom, full size laundry and air conditioning. The large 400 square foot private deck has new outdoor furniture with views of Mission Bay and gorgeous sunsets year round. Enjoy a show on the 50" 4K LG smart TV in the living room which offers Netflix, Amazon Video, and major network TV stations. Cook a delicious meal in the kitchenette complete with a mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, electric stove top, coffeemaker, and more. If you plan to head to the beach, the storage ottoman is secretly a "beach box" containing a couple of folding chairs, beach toys, towels and a small cooler. The unit is stocked with coffee, shampoo, conditioner, laundry supplies, iron, and more. Filtered water is provided via a faucet on the kitchen sink. Easy check-in via a numeric keypad on the front door with the code provided prior to arrival. Plenty of street parking is available. We love meeting new people and live next door in the main house so we are available most anytime. We are both from San Diego and still love to explore the latest new spots so we are happy to give recommendations. Bay Park is a great central neighborhood originally built in the early 1940s. It was recently voted the most livable neighborhood in a recent San Diego poll. Check out the restaurants on Morena Boulevard, which are just a few minutes' walk away or explore all of the major attractions of San Diego easily. The house has easy access to I-5 and is only 10-15 mins from downtown, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and the airport. The private guest house is located across from Mission Bay and within walking distance to bay, market, restaurants and coffee shops. Uber/Lyft is $8 to $14 to most of San Diego's main attractions. There is a bit of white noise from the highway down the hill near Mission Bay when out on the deck but nothing too bad, just worthy of mention. The unit has double paned vinyl windows so it's quiet indoors.

The views in our house are absolutely spectacular! The location is central to great restaurants, downtown SD, SeaWorld, and bay beaches where you can kayak or paddle board. It is a ideal choice for vacations and for business travelers looking for a comfortable place to call home while traveling. Entire House, 3 Patios, and parking for car in garage and driveway We like to stay out of our guests way during their stay, but we will always be accessible either via phone call or text; but if you are so relaxed and you don't want to expend energy to text or call, merely ring the wifi doorbell and it will connect to our cell phone and we can address any questions you may have. The mid-century modern house sits on the side of a hill in the La Playa neighborhood of Point Loma, overlooking the harbor. It is a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of the harbor, beach, nice restaurants, and amenities. Please note 24 hours before arrival, we will provide you a door code you can use to enter the home, the same code locks the home when you come and go during your stay.
