Holiday houses in Carbon Cliff

We had unexpected travel arrangements that we needed to make for a funeral the week of Thanksgiving for our large family. Jeanne was so helpful with our last minute stay accommodations. She knew we were traveling with a toddler and had multiple pack and plays for her one in basement and one upstairs because I had mentioned I didn’t know which space she would sleep in. She had toys available for her to play with and a high chair setup in the kitchen. Left breakfast for our large crew and even a bottle of wine. She thought of everything. The house was equipped with everything you could need in the gourmet kitchen including sippy cups, toddler plates and silverware. She ensured we had more than enough towels and left a stocked closet filled with toiletries. 2 coffee bars stocked with everything we could need including teas and hot chocolate. Since we were arriving late she had the porch light on for us. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you Jeanne for everything!!!

In this part of Western Illinois, this is certainly the nicest place to stay that I've found. It really does feel very much like home. Great design touches. Extremely comfy bed. It's a winner for sure.

Beautiful property and with everything set up ready to use. It looks identical to the photos. The location isn’t far out of the way, but feels secluded. The train is very close and rather active and will rattle the house, which we were not expecting— would be fantastic for a train enthusiast. The outside space is AMAZING! The space is well thought out but not a lot of ‘spare’ inside space so take that into consideration if needed. Would definitely stay again.

What a spot! Over the top with amenities and perks. Perfect place to stop on a family trip. Things to do are endless, including board games, projector, fire pit, porch swing, grill, fooseball table, darts, fully stocked kitchen and breakfast area, smart tvs and plenty more. Local restaurants are great. The neighborhood is safe and full of very friendly people. Edwin is super accommodating and makes you feel right at home. This place is a hidden GEM.

Donna’s Mid Century Modern home set the gold standard for my very first Airbnb. From her crystal-clear arrival instructions to her warm, prompt replies, every interaction was effortless. Crossing the threshold felt like stepping into a beautifully preserved time capsule: gleaming hardwood floors, clean architectural lines, and abundant natural light seamlessly blend with every modern comfort. The house was impeccably clean, the kitchen stocked with all the essentials, and the bathrooms stocked with plush towels and thoughtful amenities. At night, I sank into luxuriously comfortable mattresses dressed in crisp linens. Outside, the serene, tree-lined neighborhood mirrors the same MCM charm. Donna’s curated décor and thoughtful touches elevated the experience from fantastic to unforgettable. Check-in and check-out instructions were clear, and every detail of the decor celebrated the spirit of Mid Century Modern design.

Convenient location for stay purposes. House was perfect size for needs and was easy for an out of stater to find. Check in and out was easy and convenient as well. The hosts, Cody and Shannon, were both very accommodating and friendly. Will probably try to rent from this host again in the future!

The cottage is a wonderful place to stay. It is short walk/drive from downtown LeClaire. It has beautiful views of the river both inside and outside. It is cozy and warm and feels like a home away from home. It also has lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful weather. One of our favorite places to go.
