Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Carara

The view at this home is WONDERFUL!! Plenty of space for a big group, never felt crowded. The hosts are VERY helpful with connecting you to chef’s and transportation! This home was truly wonderful and the pool was the best!!! PLEASE take heed to the 4X4 recommendation!! HIGHLY recommend that you rent a car due to the STEEP hill. We got Odyssey Tours for transportation and one night while we were out in town they cancelled on bringing us back home even though they promised to. The taxis did not have cars that could make it up the hill. No fault of the Airbnb hosts at all. But just please listen when they recommend you renting a 4X4.

A great house, it had much more than we expected, my 12 year old son says it's the best we've gone to, Uber Eats available and fast, the best is that it's in SJ and as other reviews say the temperate pool is a 100

The house and property were as described and expected and we were extremely happy with our stay! We were specifically looking for something outside of the typical tourist spots and Gary’s place did not disappoint. Gary specifically stated that the mosquito population at his house was low and he was absolutely right! Just a few tips and recommendations for other potential visitors. - The kayaks must be taken down the hill to the beach for each use for security reasons. We hesitated to use them until our last day for this reason but we wish we hadn’t. Gary made it very easy and he took them down on his car. It’s an easy paddle to some snorkeling and nice beach areas. You can avoid paying for parking and hauling gear. - there is a public road between the pool area and beach where locals like to park and hang out. Shrubbery gives visual privacy but you may hear music. This did not detract from our stay. Overall we absolutely recommend this house to others.

Great stay! loved the pool, perfect temperature. location is good not far from the beach, although house can easily be missed maybe need a welcome sign. host communication was great! would stay again

The place is incredible!! It has everything and more than you may need. During our time in Costa Rica we stayed in three different places, all very good, but this was definitely the best. The host is always very attentive to everything and responds quickly. You can tell that every detail of the house was well thought out. I would definitely stay here again one and a thousand more times.

We loved this house! It was so beautiful, the photos don't do it justice! Marlene met us at the house and showed us around and how things worked which was helpful. The road to the house is long and curvy, but it's was really cool too. lots and lots of nature. The glass walls were so amazing. My kids loved the pool and the neighbor's puppies. would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment with a view of the ocean and passing birds. Walking distance to pools and ocean. We got to see monkeys by the pool. We loved being able to leave the car in the parking to just enjoy the neighbourhood.

Very nice place, very close to everything. Clean, tidy and very friendly staff, the most important thing was the security of the building. I would stay without thinking again

We went to this beautiful cabin to celebrate my sister's birthday and had a great time, quiet everything was clean and tidy. We used a lot of things the cabin has to offer and we were able to enjoy. If we think and hope to come back. 🙏✨🙌👌 Thanks to Karla for being an excellent host.

We really enjoyed this beautiful house in the jungle. The hosts were responsive and Ramin was a pleasure to talk to! He helped us out with lots of suggestions and recommendations. We paid for the sauna, ice bath, and mudbath, which were worth it! Tips if you intend to stay here: - Before coming up, make sure to pack food/groceries/cooking supplies to bring back to the place. It's a fairly long windy road getting back and down from the place to the main town, so sometimes you may not want to do the drive to get food - Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise or are a light sleeper. The bird/cicada/windchime noises can get loud - The sun rises early and sets early. There are no blackout curtains (for good reason!), so bring a sleeping eye mask if you are sensitive to light. Since it gets dark really quickly and it's a quiet zone here, you're expected to sleep quite early! - Be prepared to download offline maps and maybe even your own portable battery charger in case service cuts out

I slept great even though there wasn't air conditioning. there are multiple fans and the area is pretty well shaded. very pleasant space and amenities

Beautiful place in the middle of the tropic. We saw all kinds of flora and fauna, as well as the spectacular river and pools. Sabina and her husband are excellent helpers and even guineos gave us. Simply fabulous!
