Waterfront holiday rentals in Caniço

We stayed 13 nights at Fatima's. We've never had a place so clean! The accommodation is damp but Fatima makes sure that we are as comfortable as possible (spare sheets, towels in large quantities, etc.). The apartment is very well equipped, we did not lack anything. The views are splendid! Fatima and her family know how to welcome us, they are very kind and very responsive to our requests. The only negative point, but which is minimal compared to the full potential of the accommodation, is the sound insulation. The ceiling is only a floor and we can hear Fatima and her family walking if we stay in the apartment all day. The noise never woke us up or prevented us from falling asleep. We highly recommend this accommodation and now we know where to stay if we have the opportunity to return to visit the beautiful island of Madeira.

The accommodation was beautiful in a very quiet location with a breathtaking view. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. Calheta beach is 5 minutes by car and highly recommended. We also thought the private parking was great. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. We loved our stay in Antonio’s apartment. It was extremely clean and spacious and had everything we needed and then some. It even had a parking garage for our car. I appreciated that Antonio provided plenty of coffee, soap, shampoo and even laundry detergent. That was really nice and convenient. I loved sitting on the deck overlooking the gorgeous ocean view drinking my coffee or sipping a glass of wine. It was so relaxing! I highly recommend booking Antonio’s place. He is a superb, kind host and will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy.

Everything was great! The communication went smoothly. The location is ideal. From there, you can get everywhere easily and there is a shopping centre with a supermarket directly across the street. Thanks !

I loved my time here! I worked remotely for a week and loved everything about the location and house. They had everything you need to be comfortable. WiFi was fast. Washing machine worked well. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants, and an easy location for any tour pick ups. I would happily stay here again.

Impeccable accommodation, great terrace, it's really a + Barbecue available, very nice! Small downside on the bedding and the musty smell in the house. Please note, parking at the top of a very steep slope, difficult to access from the road...

A big place at a very reasonable price, tucked away in a nice spot but still very close to amenities. I followed up on many of Monica's recommendations and they were all fantastic! If this place is available, I highly recommend booking it!

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

Everything you needed was there. The accommodation is stylish and clean. The host was always available and quick to respond.

This was by far the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed in. Antonio was so helpful from the very beginning (he sent lots of info ahead of our arrival), made sure we could check in in the morning after our early flight and welcomed us personally at his lovely house with pool and all amenities one could look for (specifically in the kitchen and bathrooms, where we found all types of equipment, shampoo, tissues etc). The beds were comfortable, the view was stunning. We were a group of 6 and enjoyed cooking together (particularly barbecuing outdoors), but the house offered many peaceful corners for each of us to relax in, too. We also really appreciated Antonio‘s recommendations for hikes and other things to do on the island. Thanks a lot for everything!!

A great house in a beautiful location! You can't get any closer to the sea and the sound of the sea accompanies you day and night. The house is very tastefully decorated and super clean. You make yourself at home straight away! Constantino is very helpful and has great tips. Without him, we would never have found the little beach in Seixal... We were here 14 days and enjoyed every minute. Thank you, Constantino!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! The house is extremely clean and matches the pictures perfectly. We even had freshly stocked groceries when we arrived which was a huge plus after 3 long flights. This location is so close to many delicious restaurants and the beach. We absolutely loved the pool and sun bed. 10/10 recommend!!! We already want to plan another trip back 🩷 THANK YOU!

This atypical accommodation on several floors is very beautiful and perfectly well furnished. We took advantage of the 3 outdoor spaces. Warm welcome with a nice touch on arrival (flowers, wine, beer, water, chocolate). We were also well advised for our outings and restaurants. Note: Not easy for me to park properly in the parking space but it is possible to park in a car park down the street. We are delighted with our stay at Adriana's

Maria’s 8th-floor apartment was perfect! Super clean, spacious, and the balcony had amazing views of the marina, Santa Catarina park, and the city. It has two bedrooms — one with a double bed, the other with two singles — both with private bathrooms and closets. There are three bathrooms total, all spotless. The kitchen had everything, plus a dishwasher and coffee machine. Laura, who welcomed us, was so kind and helpful. She messaged me before arrival, arranged parking, explained everything in the apartment, and even brought us a big bottle of water and fresh coffee capsules the next day. She also gave great local tips. The building has great security and private parking. Honestly, the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira — close to everything!

Wonderful apartment right on the ocean. The apartment was very spacious and has everything you need. Also has easy parking just outside. An extra bonus is all the great restaurants nearby!

Can’t recommend enough. Clean, fantastic space, great location. Marina really helpful and always responsive. Well equipped kitchen with everything for meals in but equally a 10 minute drive into Funchal. The view from the apartment is beautiful and the location means everything is easily accessible. Supermarket across the road. We didn’t hire a car because the location was so great.

We had a great time at Miguel and Ana’s place. They have a beautiful condo close to the sea and with a lovely balcony and view. Very spacious and a nice location. Overall, loved it!

We booked a room with a view and boy did we get a room with a view. With that view and the cleanliness of the room you hardly have to go outside to have a great vacation. But if you don’t want to do that you can also walk to the city center and the boulevard. If you rented a car you get plenty of private and free parking (even with a cat!). The host was a big help and made everything very easy. We are really happy with our stay and can recommend it to everyone!
