Beautiful hand built cabin, overlooking Cotton Pond. Ten minutes from Camden, the sailing mecca of the east coast. Solar lights, (we are off the grid) gravity fed kitchen water, gas-hot water outdoor shower, outhouse overlooking the forest. Hiking trails everywhere! Swimming across the road on Hobbs Pond. If you book in November, there is a possibility that if it gets cold, you will not have a hot outdoor shower and will use water from a 5 gallon ceramic container for drinking and cooking.

It was a cute house that worked very well for us. Clean, convenient, comfortable! We loved the grill and the fireplace because of the Maine Summers being so unpredictable. We had an unbelievably easy walk in to town with how quiet the street was. We also had the chance to walk to the trailhead for Mt. Battie which was a moderate hike by with breathtaking views of Camden, Rockland, and beyond. All in all, definitely a place we would revisit.

Charlie and Liz were wonderful hosts. They communicated very well and finding the house was easy. They greeted us upon arrival (with Charlie’s delicious homemade scones and other treats) and showed us everything we needed for our visit. The loft was immaculate and perfect for the two of us. We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

What a charming and peaceful space! Large picture windows framing trees and perennial gardens. Really lovely home. We spent a couple days unplugging from the chaos of life here. Just a few minutes (like 3) to downtown Camden, but you feel surrounded by the trees and nature. We had everything we needed and nothing more. We stayed with our 3 year old daughter and the setup was perfect. She had a closed off room with a door and shared bathroom between our room, which opened directly to the stairway with no door (it wasn't a "loft," though - it felt private from downstairs). We also loved the passive house design of this property - such a great opportunity to teach your child about energy efficiency and responsible architecture and design. I would highly recommend and hope to come again.

This Airbnb was amazing in every way! We especially enjoyed the views of the mountains, the decor, how clean it was, the trees decorated with lights outside, and all the personal touches. It was inviting, comfortable, and had everything we could think of including sleds! (There was a privacy screen to put between the beds which was an added bonus). The Moody Mt. Cottage was the perfect location for a cozy winter getaway to hike and relax. We highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed. Cait was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. We are so grateful!
