Cottage holiday rentals in Calistoga

We’re very familiar with the surrounding area and this home is classic to the Russian River vibe. It’s easy to access Jenner Highland preserve, Armstrong woods and river activities. We found the listing to be accurate and very clean. We did not access the small secondary building but appreciated the hot tub. We also were glad we left our dog at home as there is no grass on the property and several stairs to navigate. It would certainly work for some dogs, but not ours was quite large. We did appreciate David’s immediate response to our request to edit our reservation when we decided not to bring our dog; excellent communication!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! The hosts, Lynn and John, were friendly and welcoming. We brought our baby and they left out a booster seat, child plates/bowls, toys, and made up the crib for him! We were able to do a barrel tasting, which was fantastic! We loved the hot tub and the garden. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the corn hole and fire pit! Will have to come back!

This is a charming place, beautifully kept with lovely furnishings. We really enjoyed the well appointed kitchen as we cooked every day. The yard and gardens are beautifully kept, peaceful and serene. Oranges growing right outside the house! We were in town for a wedding, and Santa Rosa is right in the middle of so many enjoyable things to do. We hiked on the CCT out past Bodega Bay, enjoyed restaurants in Healdsburg, visited the redwoods and shopped at the Barlow in Sebastopol. Thank you Cheryl for sharing your lovely home. We had a fabulous time!

What a beautiful place to stay! It has everything you need and is steps away from Sonoma Plaza , full of fun shopping and dining! The host was so nice and everything was very clear and easy. We will definitely be back!

This was our second time staying at Red Door Retreat and we had another great visit. As before everything was exactly as pictured and described. Checkin was very smooth and communication with Brett was great. We particularly enjoyed the several nice outdoor spaces and the hot tub. Quiet setting but short drive to local attractions and Guerneville town center. Highly recommended!

What a great cottage! When they say it is a high tide cottage, that means when the high tide comes, the ocean is completely underneath of you. It was exhilarating! It reminded me of owning a boat and hearing that soothing sound of the waves while I’m trying to sleep. Totally relaxing. It is a bright and cheery cottage with lots of light coming in from the windows. There is a small hot tub outside on the deck where you can sit and listen to the waves at night as well. I heard back from the host every time I texted and they were very helpful. The place was clean and has an enclosed deck that wraps around the house. There are sunset views, and you can poke at the tide pools on the beach right in front of the house at low tide. I would love to return to this place.

Our stay was lovely! The beds and linens were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The entire home was well stocked and it felt like a second personal home in terms of the quality of items - sharp knives, well stocked pantry for cooking basics, foil, etc. We brought two dogs and it was a paradise for them. The outdoor area is truly magical. The fire pit is great, the downstairs dog shower is handy, and the landscaping is sublime.

Zorelle was communicative from booking - Check out. He answered questions promptly, gave great recommendations and instructions for our stay. The cottage was as pictured and very comfortable. It made our "Bucket list" week the best place to recoup in the evening. We had a great time!

Our group of three stayed here for a night to enjoy a vineyard experience before making our way to Yosemite. The cottage was clean and well maintained and the hosts were extremely responsive.

We had a wonderful girls’ weekend in Sonoma staying at this lovely cottage! The location is super walkable to both the square and to nice hiking trails. Everything was spotless and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Sarah’s place. Access to the river was a very short walk from the home. The house was clean and clear of clutter.

It was a really nice stay for me and my two dogs. Extremely nice family, and nice quiet & private place. It was unlike most Airbnb’s in that everything in the interior had a personal touch, it was fully stocked to cook, every possible need, both to cook inside & out. Most AirBnB’s have a bit of an “IKEA” feel, this felt like a true guest house, decorated, quality furniture, extremely clean. The drive in was beautiful, and the unit was great to stay in.

My husband and I (along with our 6 month old and our dog) enjoyed a perfect Fathers Day/Birthday weekend at Dennis's cottage! The location couldn't be better - so easy to grab provisions or a quick bite around the corner at the general store, and amazing to be able to walk to the beach in just a few minutes. The cottage is cozy - just the right size for two adults and a dog - with everything you need. Having a washing machine was extra convenient, and the balcony and fire place made for relaxing evenings. We love Dillon Beach and are so happy we found this place! Don't hesitate to book :)

Mark was a great host and we would love to visit again! With the hand delivered bakery treats, beautiful scenery, and awesome location this stay is wonderful and highly recommended for a visit!

Gem of a beachhouse, on a quiet street, just a short walk from the beach. Clean, tastefully decorated cabin and loved the peaceful back garden and front patio to enjoy the sun as well.

We had a wonderful time at Carolyn’s place. We loved spending a day on her deck overlooking the lake - so beautiful. We also took advantage of her fire table out front. She also had a sturdy fold out table for dining - we initially didn’t see it in the pictures but she actually had everything we needed to enjoy a full meal around a table. Bonus points that we could fold it away for more space when not using! Carolyn was also very responsive and checked in daily on how we were doing. Would love to come back!

Wow! This property is absolutely stunning. Private and peaceful, it’s straight out of a magazine! Just 6 minutes from the most beautiful hiking trail, Goodlove Trail and just minutes to drive to some of the most beautiful wineries! We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again!

Amazing location right by the lakeside and a beautiful well-equipped house. We could see ducks and swans coming out of the water onto the backyard right from the dining table! Would love to come here again. Thanks for being a great host, Barbara.

This was our second long-term stay (each stay being several weeks) at the Sunset Serene Cottage and we will definitely be coming back for more. Consider this as your home away from home. The location and the view cannot be beat. The house is perfect for us as a couple - bedroom, kitchen, living room, and bathroom have everything you need for a relaxing and convenient stay. It’s surrounded by so much nature, and it was wonderful to have a busy day and then come home to this oasis. Neighborhood is also very safe and we took many walks to enjoy the view of the Bay. We thank Albena and Nikolay for promptly responding to our queries and for generously accommodating our special requests. Already planning our next visit! 🌅🏡💕

We just completed a lovely stay at Emily's place -- the home is on a very quiet road, spacious, well-appointed, and the decor is a great match for the environment. One bedroom with adjoining bathroom is on the ground floor and the other is on the second floor, making it perfect for two couples -- plus there's a bonus bunkbed in the front room for kids. The outdoor space, surrounded by redwoods, has several seating areas with a nice hot tub (seats 4). The neighbors were all very welcoming and nice, we felt right at home in the area. We've been coming up to Russian River for about 20 years and had never heard of this small community, it was wonderfully off the beaten path yet close to everything! There is also secluded and well-maintained neighborhood beach which was great for sunbathing / kayak launching. Emily had alerted us that map apps weren't reliable for the area and sent a pinned location -- definitely use it and pre-load an area map, especially if you'll be arriving in the dark.

We loved staying at this charming Airbnb near downtown Napa. The beds were extremely comfortable, the rooms were well-organized, and the host, Robert, was very easy to communicate with and left very clear instructions (down to how to start the shower and where the trash was located in the kitchen). A highlight was using the lovely back yard -- and morning and evening visits from an adorable neighborhood cat, Clyde. It was a safe and quick 15 min walk to downtown Napa. Would strongly recommend!

We arrived during a black-out of electricity. Cindy, our hosted, made us feel welcomed and assisted with genuine care of our concerns. We felt welcomed and cared for. The property was charming and it made us feel like we were truly in the country. Each cottage was detached--so no neighbors to listen through walls. Many thoughtful amenities throughout and the continental breakfast had quite a few options, including Oat Milk for those that cannot have dairy product. Great place to stay!

This is our third time staying at Kathleen’s cottage. And we would definitely stay again. The cottage is beautiful - blooming flowers and lavender with a European country vibe. It is the perfect get away - peaceful sitting on a wrap around deck, comfy beds and the perfect location to go wine tasting or explore the area. Kathleen really makes the effort to make you feel special with wine and yummy snacks awaiting your arrival. Thank you Kathleen for another wonderful weekend!!!

Tom and Pam’s place is in the perfect location - off the beaten path just enough to be close to everything but also get to walk leisurely with toddlers. Close to beach access you don’t have to pay for. Second bedroom is small - we planned to put a pack and play in that room for our daughter but you can’t fit much more than a suitcase, so keep that in mind! The rest of the home was perfectly described, cozy and comfortable for a weekend away. We can’t wait to go back!
