We had a wonderful stay at the Red House! The space was very cozy, yet surprisingly roomy — perfect for relaxing and feeling right at home. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and the setting felt peaceful and private throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a quiet retreat.

We had an amazing stay at Greg’s cottage. It was the perfect getaway and the perfect mix between cozy cottage and fancy amenities! We loved the sauna and the hot tub, they were amazing additions to Greg’s. The beds were super comfortable as well which is always a plus at a cottage. Greg was always responsive and was super helpful. We cannot wait to come back to this cozy cottage! Thanks Greg!

This cottage was perfectly curated for a family/friend’s getaway! Their home was spacious, and well equipped from the kitchen to the fire outside. If you didn’t have a plan for the weekend, they have a detailed booklet on everything near by. I really appreciated them giving us the heads up on the northern lights, and providing 2 Bon Echo Park passes to the guests! The communication was fast, and the location was perfect. There’s nothing more I could even ask for.

Sanja is an incredible host! Very friendly and responds super fast. The cabin was perfectly cozy and included great amenities. The hot tub was large and very nice for a chilly night. Definitely recommend!

Thanks for a great stay. We had everything we needed in the house with wonderful access to a lovely sandy beach. We enjoyed the use of the paddle boards to explore the expansive shoreline. The location is near some walking trails in the woods which our dog really enjoyed. The cottage was adjacent a public beach which was busy on the weekends, however nice and siren on the weekdays to sit and watch the sunrise. We would certainly recommend and stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage, we felt at home and we had everything we needed for our stay! Beautiful place to stay and we will definitely rent again!

It was a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Having a hot tub and fire pit by the water was great.

This cottage is a small slice of paradise! The cottage is cozy and well-equipped, and the property is beautiful and easy to explore. We came with our 8-month old, and it was so nice to have children's books, different toys, and the play structure outside. We enjoyed a hike around the small lake, and we are hoping to return in the summer to get in the water.

The home was exactly what we were looking for and needed. Lots of space, clean and the host was accommodating. I would recommend this home.!

Beautiful cottage in a very quiet area. Lovely view from the cottage of the lake and surrounding trees. It was very quiet and a lovely place to de-stress We really enjoyed a hike to Eagles Nest and a dinner at the Red Neck Bistro. The staff were wonderful and friendly, food was delicious! We will hopefully be back next year

This is a beautiful cottage. The lake access is the real highlight and the hosts have really leaned into this providing lots of opportunities for water recreation, including a good sized dock, multiple kinds of boats (kayaks, a canoe, a peddle boat, and paddle boards), and a large floaty that acts as a second dock. Speakers at the waters edge were a nice touch! The hosts were also great. Very responsive and friendly, and proactively reached out to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The cottage itself isn’t huge if you plan to spend the majority of your time inside, but this wasn’t an issue for us as we spent the majority of our time by the water. It was big enough to fit 10 around the dining table for meals and games. All in all, it was a great experience.

Kristine is really nice host, she instructed us so well about the things. The white folder was nice touch as it has all the places listed around to visit and the places we can go for food or order take out. The place is really beautiful and clean, also suitable for toddlers to play around. She was really responsive and helpful with the questions we had. We will recommend this place to all.

We had a wonderful stay a Tom’s cottage. It was easy to get to and had all the room and amenities we could want. Lots of room to run and play. Great Lake to play in. We loved that it was dog friendly so it saved us the expense and the headache of a kennel. Our teenager loved how great the wifi was and the huge TV for the evenings. Tom sent lots of great info ahead of check in and the instructions for check out were clear and easy. We’d absolutely stay there again and recommend to any friends or family looking for a place to relax.

What an amazing space. From the outside you feel transported into a story book, while the inside is tastefully rustic with 70s elements. It’s also stocked so well, I was throughly surprised. A walk to the beach is only roughly 5-10 minutes and it offers the tranquility you need. I will definitely be booking again.

We just got back from a lovely stay at the cottage on Spectacle Lake, and even though the weather wasn’t on our side, we truly had a great time. The rain kept us mostly indoors, but the cozy fireplace turned out to be a blessing we spent our time just relaxing, listening to the rain, and soaking in the peaceful vibe. The cottage itself is tucked away in such a private, serene spot. Waking up to the sound of birds and looking out over the calm water from every window was incredibly calming. Everything was so clean and well cared for. Waking up to birdsong and calm water views from every window was such a treat. I was thrilled to finally spot a few beaver lodges in the Madawaska Valley — a small dream come true! The cottage was clean, the docks looked great, and having fresh drinking water available was such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. We didn’t get the clear skies we hoped for to stargaze, but that just gives us a reason to come back and we definitely will.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Had such a relaxing time at the river nest and I would 100% recommend booking this spot. Will plan to go back in the future for sure!! Our hosts were so kind and made us feel right at home! The master bed was so comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need, and if you like sitting by the fire you'll love the cozzy vibes! We had an amazing weekend celebrating my dad's 70th birthday at this beautiful, secluded property! Hershel was super friendly and communicative from booking through check-out, even giving us great local recommendations when we arrived early. The place was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed—towels, linens, kitchen and BBQ supplies, toiletries, WiFi, and even a TV (though we didn’t need it!). We loved the private river for fishing, the sauna, fire pit, trails, and the stunning views. The check-in guide and house manual were clear and helpful, making everything easy to navigate, and the check-out process was stress-free. A welcome bottle of wine was also such a thoughtful touch! There was so much to do in and around the property, and though we drove three hours to get there, we’d do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped retreat surrounded by nature. Thank you Hershel and Tiferet for an unforgettable getaway!

This was our 3rd time staying at Jennifer and Tom's beautiful cottage. It is a great location for day trips to Ottawa yet secluded enough to just relax. Fantastic hosts and lots of personal touches. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay! Aaron was super communicative and responded promptly to any questions we had. Both the cottage itself and surrounding area was beautiful. Definitely bring your bug spray, but cannot recommend this place enough!

Beautiful family stay! We brought two toddlers who loved hanging out on the dock, hanging out on the swing and eating on the picnic table on nice days. The DVD collection was awesome as well! No issue with hot spotting for anything else. One thing to note is the (gorgeous) glass table and winding staircase require a bit of extra supervision with young ones. Total paradise for young families or small groups :)

We had a great stay! Nick was a very helpful and responsive host. The cottage was very clean and well-equipped, it was the perfect spot for our family get away. The skiing at Calabogie Peaks was great and we enjoyed some great meals at the local restaurants. We hope to return again next year!
