Cazina' - Cabin in Gran Paradiso

"La cazinà" literally means "the farmhouse" but in the Franco-Provençal patois of Frassinetto this term indicates "the barn", in fact the first floor was used for the storage and conservation of hay, while the ground floor was used as a stable for cows. The house is spread across two floors: the ground floor has a living area with a kitchenette, fireplace, and sofa that becomes a bunk bed if necessary; the first floor has a bedroom with a fireplace and an open bathtub in addition to the bathroom.

La murà is a charming house in stone, wood and a "lose" roof recovered by Emanuele in the place where a barn stood at 1200 meters in the Gran Paradiso National Park. In the hamlet of Tressi - Tersy in Franco-Provençal - in one of the wildest corners of the Alps, the house is isolated and has an exclusive view of the Forzo valley. Surrounded by greenery, this bright and spacious flat is situated at an altitude of approximately 750 meters above sea level, at the entrance to the Lanzo Valleys, near Turin, the Venaria Reale complex, and the airport. If you love walking and the tranquillity of the forests, this is the ideal place to explore the surrounding area, hike the numerous trails, go fishing, and, on warmer days, head to the stream to bathe in the natural pools of the Tessuolo.

Our home, nestled among the trees, rests in peaceful seclusion a couple of kilometers from the nearest village. We are Riccardo, Cristina, Lorenzo, Bianca and Alice. We chose to come here, into the woods, to begin living a simple yet fulfilling life, learning from nature. We offer you an attic loft carefully renovated by Riccardo, with a double bed and a sofa bed (both beneath skylights), a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a wide view over the valley.
