“Great place in a lovely spot. Little bit of snow the weekend we stayed, and we were lucky to see lots of wildlife as well. Lovely house with everything we needed. Very warm, and great tips for local activities. We had such a lovely time, and hoping to be back again.”
My apartment is a new development adjacent to my home set on 10 acres of farmland literally on the banks of the mighty Murray River not far from its source in the Snowy Mountains. Listen to the cockatoos, marvel at the deer and the kangaroos, laugh at the wombats or catch a trout or a famous Murray cod or simply watch the river slowly passing by whilst laying by the pool. The choice is yours in this little piece of paradise.
“Bob and Denise are not only beautiful people, but have a beautiful piece of upper Murray magic! If your looking for an easy, quite and boutique weekend away, you can’t look past these guys! Taking in the beautiful landscape even a after the fires such a beautiful place to photograph. Thank you for a gorgeous weekend!”
Glenburnie Farmstay is situated in the picturesque snowy mountains just outside of Tumbarumba, one of Australia's hidden gems. Your charming farm cottage is located on a working vineyard surrounded by grapevines with 'Johansen Wines' cellar door just up the hill if you fancy a drop of their award winning cool climate wines. Tumbarumba is known for its green rolling hills, crystal clear streams and vast forests, all of which are just a short drive or walk away.
“The cottage is lovely, we utilised the kitchen and the fire place so can say the oven works perfectly as does the dishwasher. It was very cold when we stayed but the heater works the whole open living area and the rooms have electric blankets. The view is stunning - looking out over the vineyards with the horses running around, we could often hear then in the background. Can't forget to mention the wine! Tom gave us a wine tasting on the weekend and it is all beautiful wine which we then drank that night. Tom is very attentive, he helped us set up the fire place and it wasn't a problem to text him questions - very good communication. We had a great weekend - highly recommend.”
