Holiday houses in Burke Mountain

This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend it to everyone! Being able to have hands on activities with the Highlands was unforgettable - we were able to feed them and bottle feed a calf. The house itself was perfect as well - it had plenty of games and the kitchen was fully stocked. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to experience agriculture tourism. Thank you Janet and Ray for making my family feel so welcome, we won’t forget it!

The mountain house was the perfect location for a family holiday getaway. Tucked in the woods but not far from things to do, it had something for everyone in our group. The hot tub was great and wood stove easy. We had one minor kitchen issue and someone actually came out within an hour on a Saturday to replace something. Great experience.

What a lucky find on ABnB! We loved the location. It couldn’t have been better- just a walk across the street to the public beach. We learned the history of the home and Claudia’s library filled us in on Lake Willoughby’s rich history . Little pricey but this home has been lovingly cared for. Family oriented space -great for kids! Comfortable beds for 8 with two full baths! In a beautiful location. Well worth it We found Claudia more than generous in offering chairs for the beach and kayaks/life vests for use. She even gifted a lovely book to our bookclub. We hope to come again and stay longer next time. WiFi fine. Some had cell service some did not but not huge issue as Claudia provided landline for emergency use if needed. What a cozy and beautiful cabin! We had a fantastic white Christmas here and enjoyed many hours by the fire. Beds are comfortable and firm, everything was very clean, instructions were clear and you really feel private tucked back in the woods. Nina was communicative and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!

What I expected to be a fun weekend for us exploring the northeast kingdom ended up being my surprise engagement, making this trip even more special. We were very happy to have such a beautiful location to come back to after our day out, everything was perfect!

Unmatched location for ski in/ski out - feels like your family’s vacation home that’s seen multiple generations (it has for our family)! Be aware though - you definitely need 4-wheel drive to get up if there’s snow! Thankfully the kind woman in the base lodge loaned us her vehicle to get up the first day before our 4-wheel SUV made it up the next! Can’t wait to return next year!

We were able to stay here with our 2 little ones and other family members comfortably. Nathan was very responsive and our family very much enjoyed our stay. Quiet, relaxing and everything we needed for a trip to Sugar Hill! Thank you!
