Villa di Bias is suited for you who want to see what the real Bali is like. If you are curious about what the life of the balinese looks like, how they live and how they work. And for you who want to get the best view Bali can offer in order to see as much as possible of the beautiful Bali nature. It will be easy to interact with the locals, should you want to, as you will just have to go down to the beautiful rice fields just beneath our villa. You can go down to the small river where the Balinese will take their morning or afternoon bath. One part of the river is used for the women, another part for the men. You may need to ask for their permission before you get too close though… If you don’t want to disturb the bathers you can just take a walk in the beautiful rice fields between Villa di Bias and the Tirta Gangga Water Palace. You will most likely see some farmers working on the fields, or children making noises to frighten the birds that want to steal the harvest, or maybe watch the children going to/coming from school. Remember to say hello to the locals, they are as curious about you as you are about them. We think Villa di Bias is perfect for honeymooners and couples who prefer privacy and want to get to know the beautiful East Bali, far from the tourist infected places in the south. If you want to party all night long, or want to go to as many chic restaurants as your time and wallet accepts then maybe you should go to Kuta, Seminyak or even Ubud. But you will of course have to accept the crazy traffic jams there as well… But here you will find the real authentic Bali!
“Discreet place to see a little badly indicated, our driver had a little trouble finding despite the instructions of the GPS. That said, the villa is magnificent with an extraordinary view, a context conducive to rest and relaxation, with a superb heated infinity pool, enough to spend your days there. All the comfort is present from floor to ceiling the bathroom is huge despite some small balance problems in hot and cold water. An overhead projector that did not work, really a shame, as much not to present it. For the rest a few precautions nevertheless, the ants took possession of it so before leaving your sugary drinks and others, think about it. Another important point, mosquitoes being given that you will find yourself above a river, spent a certain hour closed all doors !! However, the host has taken care to provide all the elements to protect you, such as the mosquito repellent. Despite all these elements, the place is just extraordinary and magical with all that we were entitled to kindness, kindness and availability in the person of Komang !! Simply exceptional service worthy of the biggest luxury hotels with enormous respect and discretion. He really makes you feel special, big big big highlight in his person for this stay in these places. Thank you Komang. Last thing too bad that the owner of the place was not there to receive us.”
Far from the tourist traps of Bali and located in a lush garden overlooking the rice fields. Truly a slice of paradise to get away from it all. We are located in a small village pretty untouched by tourism. Restaurants and shopping can be reached by car/motorbike. On site we have our small restaurant for all meals.
“My boyfriend and I will forever appreciate and cherish the experience that is staying at Kubu Carik. We literally felt like we became a part of the family for five days! We ate breakfast and dinner with our hosts, (dinner cooked by Claudia’s husband and is literally unreal, proper Balinese food of restaurant quality) and one night when I wasn’t feeling great I still had a lovely great plate of food put aside for me if I was hungry. This is real Bali where you will see almost no tourists unless you go to the nearby Virgin Beach (highly recommended) or ‘Gates of Heaven’ (really touristy but amazing views) and will encounter jungle critters but all small(ish) and not a bother. The most standout aspect to staying at Kubu Carik is the view. The photos don’t do it justice. The most beautiful setting I’ve ever been in! We hope we will be able to come back again.”
Welcome in Tirtagangga-area! I offer two comfortable rooms located on the side of a hill, with stunning views on the ricefields below and Mount Lempuyang. Tirtagangga Waterpalace is on walking distance (5 min.). You can enjoy the beautiful peace and nature here. Free shuttle to and from Tirtagangga Waterpalace. Beautiful area for hiking and mountainbiking. Excellent location to visit Lempuyang temple, known as 'The Gates of Heaven'.
“We spent one night at Iketut. It was just great! Iketut is very helpful and an outstanding driver. Indeed He knows a lot of things and shares a lot of information during the trips. At home, it offers various free services (tea / coffee at will, water ride to the free guesthouse, help with booking ferry etc ..) The location of the room is really close to the water palace (5 minutes downhill through the forest). The gate on which we arrive is currently closed and we must therefore go around the water palace (tirta gangga). The view from the room on the forest and rice fields is beautiful! Having breakfast on the terrace is a real pleasure for the eyes. Small point of attention: The breakfast is not rich for our taste. Only 1 pancake (1 slightly thick pancake). However it is excellent! And if you ask for hot milk a raw egg hides at the bottom of the cup (that's surprising)”
