Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Bryson City

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb with our family of 10, ranging from a baby to grandparents. The house was meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. The layout was perfect, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out while still having great common areas for gathering. Every room was beautifully designed, so no one felt like they got the “lesser” room. The views were absolutely incredible, and we loved the added amenities—board games, foosball, a jacuzzi, and a grill. The host was fantastic—super responsive, helpful with local recommendations, and proactive in keeping us informed about a nearby fire. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this home for any group looking for a relaxing and well-equipped retreat!

This little escape reminded me how good it feels to slow down. Whether you’re flying solo, escaping with a partner, or gathering with friends, this cabin is a perfect spot to recharge. I left feeling grounded, refreshed, and already thinking about when I can come back.

My family and I loved this home at Lake Glenville! It had everything we needed. The views were incredible, and we really enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, riding the pedal boat, building campfires, and relaxing in the hot tub. We booked a boat tour with Lake Glenville Scenic Waterfall Cruises with Captain Mark. We saw a bald Eagle and the baby’s nest. We would gladly stay here again and hope to come in the fall sometime to see the foliage. I didn’t want to leave. Happ’s Place restaurant was great, and we enjoyed the shops in Cashiers and downtown Highlands, as well as hiking to a few waterfalls.

Great place to stay and make a home base, while motorcycling all around the Smokies. Brenda was a great host, and I'd stay there again!

Loriel and Adam provided us the perfect place for all 10 of us and my 2 pets to stay so comfortably. We loved the great big back porch, we spent most of our time back there. We could not have asked for anything better.

The place is even nicer than the pictures. It's a beautiful retreat in the woods with lots of natural light. There are plenty of places inside and out to enjoy being alone or gathering with family and friends. It's kept very clean, well stocked with everything you need to cook and lots of linens and towels. The multiple fans and a/c make it comfortable on hot days. The walk down to the fire pit or the man cave by the creek is steep, but not difficult. You can drive up and down easily as well. It's only a few minutes from so many things to do. But if you sit on the screened in porch and watch the hawks and the cows grazing across the road, It's hard to want to leave. It's perfect for couples wanting privacy or families with children that need plenty of space to play in. What a true gem!

It was one of the best vacations I've ever had, a beautiful and complete house, a wonderful and peaceful place, lush landscapes, beautiful waterfalls, I want to go back to the same place in the summer to be able to enjoy the lakes better. I recommend it to everyone.

I have never stayed at a more well stocked rental. If you forgot anything, no worries, she probably has it in the house! Joan left some very thoughtful, personal touches like having the heated blanket turned on for me when I arrived, a bowl of treats, etc. My favorite part is a tie between the gorgeous claw foot soaking tub which I used every night, and the beautiful view of the mountains from a large picture window. The location was really beautiful, and had a grocery store and multiple gas stations within a few miles of the house. The only thing that kept it from being perfect, was the spotty wifi, which is understandable in the mountains, but all the lighting was hooked to Google, so Google either didn't understand, or the wifi kept failing for the commands. It just seemed it took 5x as long to turn on a lamp, than simply turning the switch. I ended up unhooking the one in the bedroom during my stay. I would highly recommend this rental, and Joan is an amazing host.

Have been vacationing in Western North Carolina for about 30 years. The Sunset Cottage is one of the most enjoyable places that I have been to. It’s in a beautiful setting, off the beaten path, and you can get to everything conveniently from there. I would like to stay there again!

Great location with walkable things to do. Apartment was clean and comfortable and we felt right at home. Rebecca was a great host and very helpful with a few of my questions during our visit. Will definitely go back!

Great place close to the Nantahala trailheads. We were there to do some hiking. Check-in was seamless. The apt was comfortable and perfect for our weekend.

Five stars is not enough. Great location, comfortable, all you need is there and if it isn't Sean will make sure it is there in the blink of an eye.

Maggie and Mike were great hosts and it was our pleasure to meet and talk with them both. My wife and I were so impressed with their home and with a view of the mountains and there small pond what more could you ask for. We never got to stay at Lara’s place due to the hurricane and not being able to get there but I seriously can’t rate a host higher. Lara was compassionate and so so helpful. It is hard to come by true, genuine people like this and I can’t recommend their place higher! Thank you for everything, we will never forget your kindness.

Evelyn went above and beyond to make us feel like we were at a home away from home! She was flexible as we were arriving late, and checked in with us to make sure everything was going well! Every recommendation she gave was great! We love to explore the small local towns, and this was just great! We can’t wait to come back and visit again in a few months! This will be our forever mountain escape ❤️ bonus: my son loved all of the goodies Evelyn gave him & my husband got stuck in the mud, and they came out with their tractor to get us out!! A million percent recommend and can’t wait to go back!

We had an awesome stay, the cabin is very clean and nicely renovated. My only complaint is it is not very private you have multiple neighbors in close proximity. Overall we were very satisfied with the cabin itself.

Amazing views! We enjoyed our stay in Bruce’s private and clean cabin. We appreciated the light breeze and quietness while hanging out on the porch. The cabin was still close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants, breweries and shopping. We were also able to explore other towns in the area with a short drive. Great communication with the host, Bruce.

This is just a lovely place up on a mountain! Even if you don't have an SUV or AWD, don't let the driveway scare you. Our Miata NC made it up multiple times with no problems. Take the advice of the cabin owner and go slow in low gear. The cabin was clean, comfortable and spacious. It is a peaceful, quiet and scenic spot. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch rockers and relaxing. You will be away from the action/hubbub of Fontana Village and Bryson City, but can get to either in 30-40 minutes. This was much better for us than renting several hotel rooms. The kitchen has everything you need. The hot tub area was nice, too. Owner communicates well and quickly. Thanks, Christina!

A beautiful private setting for a cozy cabin and in the woods by a little stream. Close to mountain bike and hiking trails for us.

Peaceful. The location was stunning, the cabin was cozy, and the fact we could hike all around the property was amazing. There was no reason to leave this place. My kids enjoyed fishing on the pond and hiking the trails. Amazing experience!
