Our place is a working Wheat and sheep farm . We are 5th generation Australian farmers. Our families have stayed on the same farm over 100years. We offer a great place to camp , relax or wander through the original bush watching the many native birds and animals including kangaroos and eagles . We allow campfires ( when permitted) so make sure you bring the Marshmallows to toast . Dogs love to fossick. Time to unwind and listen to nature

The chalet was easy to find & so close to Wave Rock & the town itself. It’s very clean & kitchen is equipped to cook simple meals. We experienced a beautiful sunset just outside our cabin & the most amazing stars & constellations when it turned dark. There were about a gazillion stars up in the sky just above us. We sat outside in 7°C autumn weather for abt an hour as it was so magical! Would definitely return to stay here next time we’re in Hyden.

The chalet was perfect for our stopover. Super comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Had everything we needed including a big screen tv, air con, outdoor setting, great kitchen. Location is just out of town and in between town and Wave Rock. The veranda looks out of farmland and is very peaceful. Our camper broke down as we were leaving and Chloe, the owner, came straight over to help us. She let us store the camper over Easter and arranged a local mechanic to help. We couldn’t have had a better experience at Wave Rock Short Stay.

The chalets at Wave Rock are almost new, demountable two-bedroom units. The only real criticism is that they’re stuck out on their own a bit on the edge of town although the upside of that is a spectacular view of the Milky Way on a clear night! We spent a very comfortable night, although a floor rug and coffee table wouldn’t go astray. The house manual was very comprehensive with lots of tourist information included. Thoroughly recommended for your next visit to Wave Rock!
