Tucked away in the heart of Sauk Centre, this studio cabin offers a peaceful nature retreat. With a cozy electric fireplace and a private on-site hiking trail, this 1-bath cabin provides a rustic escape while still keeping you close to local attractions. Spend your days snowmobiling the Sauk Lake trail system, ice fishing on Fairy Lake, or cross-country skiing nearby, then unwind by the fire and enjoy the quiet surroundings in the evenings. The Property The cabin sits within walking distance of Fairy Lake and includes a fireplace, gas grill. The outside grounds include a picnic table, a patio with outdoor seating, an outdoor gas patio fireplace, a wood-burning fire pit, and a private hiking trail through an oak forest. Sleeping arrangements include a loft with two twin beds that can convert to a king (let us know before arrival), along with a queen sleeper sofa on the main level. Indoor amenities feature a 50” Roku TV, electric fireplace, air-conditioner, breakfast bar with seating, a welcome gift, and ceiling fan. The kitchen is stocked with cooking basics, a coffee maker, stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, filtered water, and full dishware and flatware. For everyday comfort, the cabin offers free WiFi, keyless entry, complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, linens and towels, air conditioning. toilet paper and paper towels, trash bags, Entry requires two steps Parking Parking includes a driveway that accommodates two vehicles, and boat trailer parking is available on-site. Cabin is close to paved walking and biking trails. With close proximity to Sibley State Park. Kandiyohi County Park 7 is 1 mile away with large swimming beach, life guards, play ground equipment, seasonal convenient store, and boat rentals. New London/ Spicer area is an easy 15 minute drive with boutique shops and dinning options.

This cozy, inviting cabin has a gorgeous shoreline with a sandy beach, stunning sunset views, a dock that is perfect for fishing (or jumping in!), a raft to swim to, hammocks to lounge in, and a large bonfire area to end your day. Endless outdoor activities year round! This cabin has everything you need for a memorable, relaxing vacation! No detail has been overlooked.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Our sunsets are lovely, and nature surrounds you. We are located on Long Lake which has no public access so it’s very quiet. Bring your kayaks for some amazing bird and turtle watching. Feel like swimming? Fairly Lake beach is 4 minutes from the cabin! End your relaxing day around the firepit!
