Ingrid and Marc's as hosts have gone above and beyond with all the amenities you will need for your stay. Bench 170 as a home is also beautifully designed and incredibly livable. I would love to stay at Bench 170 again and would highly recommend it!

We had amazing stay at Christi and Jason's! There is everything you need for a cozy stay, AND the view of the ocean and mountains is spectacular. We got lucky with the weather too, so everything was extra good. They gave us great recommendations on where to go around the area and we'd definitely come back.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cute cabin. What a special spot! We enjoyed exploring the inlet with the canoe provided and exploring some of the local hikes. Be sure to try to the local Mexican Restaurant. We loved the seclusion and quiet this cabin provided with easy access to any groceries or other amenities we might need.

What an amazing view in a lovely town with great beach walks and hikes close by. Could not recommend this place more. Amanda is a fabulous host, full of great recommendations and made certain everything at the flat was to our liking. We will definitely be back! Did I mention the view from the flat and deck was amazing? Absolutely mesmerizing, especially on a full moon.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s place! The location was incredibly peaceful, tucked right next to the water — the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend getaway. It was also very dog-friendly, which made it even more special for us. Everything was exactly as described, and Sarah was a great host, making the whole experience easy and welcoming. We’d happily come back again!

This place is a daylight basement with partial view of the bay and a great view of the stream that runs from the south edge of Birch Bay State Park north to the bay. We saw lots of bird activity. The place is tastefully decorated in a seaside theme and is quite spacious, especially for only 2 people. There are plenty of beds for a medium family. 2 Kayaks with PFDs were provided and we were able to launch from the stream bank just below our apartment and paddle upstream to the State Park. We even managed to disturb some eagles so got to see them flying over us chattering and screaming as we paddled by. Be aware that there is only a toaster oven and charcoal grill for oven type foods. The stove top worked well for us. There is also a nice microwave and full sized refrigerator. The hot tub was a nice addition. The bay way easy walking distance away. The public walking path and beach was a bit further north and was a very nice walk for us, and there was plenty of parking for access too.

Loved the view! Quiet, clean, very well equipped kitchen. The hot tub and pool right on the ocean was pretty amazing!

This was one of the best stays in our lives. The place, the views, the feelings was something out of ordinary. We loved the place from the very first moment we found it on the Internet and loved it even more when we arrived there. I would definitely recommend this place and would really like to go back there as soon as we plan another vacation.

We had a fantastic four days in Birch Bay - such a beautiful spot, some nice local restaurants within walking distance and the perfect size for our family of four. My boys loved the pool (we always seemed to be the only ones there!) and the grounds were nice and quiet. Very helpful and responsive hosts too!

We had a lovely time staying in Tammy’s home. It was really clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. She is very responsive and we were able to check in a bit early on our arrival. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lovely view of the water from the patio. We would definitely stay here again! The resort has a tennis court, lots of grills, one campfire pit, dock for crabbing or boats, beach for clamming. The property is very well kept. Thanks again Tammy for such a lovely stay!

Pat's place is awesome. We, a family of four - two adults and two kids (one is at teen age and another one is younger), spent a great long weekend there. Bright, cozy condo with great view from almost any window. It fits all of us, has a nice kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Heated pool with a hot tub, which we and kids enjoyed, just downstairs. The Bay is very good for paddle boarding. We did twice over our stay. If tide is low, you can reach a tiny island where you can find lots of purple and orange sea stars, crabs, and oysters. Ladysmith and Nanaimo suggest great dinner options. Nanaimo also has a nice walkable Marina merging into Maffeo Sutton park. If you like hikes, we tried Extension Ridge Trail hike near Nanaimo and can strongly recommend it to anyone. Malahat Tower is a fun place to visit, just one hour of driving from "Inn of the Sea" resort, we've been there, and were not disappointed. Will definitely stay again at Pat's place.

Beautiful guest home with a cabin vibe and modern washroom. Amazing panoramic view and indoor fireplace. You wont find a hot tub with a better view. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at Linda and Ian’s was incredible, the pictures do not do it justice for how peaceful and beautiful it is. We spent most of the long weekend on the property, cooking our own food and hanging out on the multiple different levels all of which have amazing ocean views. Ian and Linda were so welcoming and friendly, they shared some of what they love about the property including showing us their crabbing process. We went from watching the seals swim in waves from the lower deck (lots of stairs!), to watching the sunset from the hot tub, to playing games on our unit balcony. The most perfect weekend, we will be returning and brining more friends!

We had the most relaxing stay at this charming beach house! Tucked away just steps from the shore, the home strikes the perfect balance between comfort and coastal charm. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home — the interior is warm, tastefully decorated, and immaculately clean. One of our favorite features was the private sauna — the perfect way to unwind after a day by the water. It added such a luxurious touch to an already peaceful retreat. Mornings started with coffee on the deck, watching the waves, and evenings ended with the sound of the ocean lulling us to sleep. Beach access couldn’t be better — literally just a short walk down a quiet path, and you’re there. If you’re looking for a cozy escape that offers both comfort and a true connection to nature, this house is a gem. We’re already planning our next visit!

Beautiful quiet home. Big sunny deck lots of chairs and space for all 6 of us. Enjoyed the bbq. Private beach access. Modern clean cabin. Very comfy beds. Kids loved the bunk beds. Awesome to have access to a washer and dryer. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It’s bigger than the pictures show. Would love to come back. Highly recommend.

The beach house was very charming and quaint. My family thoroughly enjoyed listening to the waves of the ocean and taking in the beautiful views.

This home was absolutely stunning! The views of the bay were breathtaking — we could have sat and watched the water for hours. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep. The shower was also amazing — spacious, with great water pressure, and the perfect way to unwind after a long day. Everything about this stay felt peaceful and luxurious. We can’t wait to come back!

Had the most relaxing stay in the Eagle suite, which has a private hot tub right on the patio. Spectacular view, comfy bed and the place was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was also a nice treat with the giant soaker tub, spa shower and heated floors. We brought everything we needed to make ourselves food, and the bbq more than sufficed (there’s a burner for boiling water if needed too). Thank you for such a lovely stay!
