This gem is at the epicenter of shops, restaurants and nightlife! It is located lakefront with access to boat dock with kayaks, swimming, enclosed private hot tub with tv and water activities. Gather around at the fire pit after a fun day at the lake. Cook in the fully furnished kitchen or better yet cook out on the grill. Curl up with a good book and watch the boats drive by. Centrally located close to State Street in Bristol and Johnson City. Perfect escape!

Watauga River Cottage in Johnson City, TN

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly water front river cottage (Approximately 1,700sf)! Bring your fishing pole and relax! We have Kayaks and life jackets available upon request at no charge (life jackets required!). Enjoy some time on the hammocks by the river or step into the hot tub on the deck over looking the river. Please note we do have a video camera overlooking the driveway as well as overlooking the stairway and river bank below the river cottage.

This 1100 sq ft home is very cozy and quiet and only a 10 minute drive to the Bristol Race Track and the Pinnacle Shopping Center, 15 minutes from downtown Bristol and 10 minutes from Bristol Regional Hospital. Also, only a 10-15 minute drive to Kingsport where Holston Valley Hospital is and a 20 minute drive to Johnson City. Asheville, North Carolina is just an hour and 15 minutes away. Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood are also an hour and a half away.

Whether visiting the beautiful mountains to bike or hike the Creeper Trail, sightseeing in the historical Abingdon or Bristol area, attending a game at E&H or just passing through to another destination, our goal is to provide a warm and welcoming home for your getaway. Resting on an acre of land and right off I 81 enjoy your stay in our cozy, country cottage.

The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.
