Holiday rentals with lake access in Brighton

We had an amazing time and a huge part of it was because of this house and owners! Exactly what we needed and the house was like a home away from home! Everything we could need was there we just had to bring ourselves! Any questions were answered very quickly! The house was exactly as pictured and described and the beds are very comfortable! We would absolutely stay here again!

We had a group of seven at Jackie’s place for a long weekend of snowmobiling and it was a fantastic stay! The kitchen is fully stocked with nearly everything you would need to make your meals during the stay, even a crockpot and lobster cracking tools! No ice maker, but there is an ice cube tray, we just bought a bag from the store, no biggie just something to note. Plenty of towels of all sizes and tons of extra pillows and blankets throughout the house too. We loved our stay and will hope to stay again in the future, we make visits to Pittsburg a few times a year and when we have a bigger group Jackie’s place will be the first place we book if we can!

Brad and Rose’s lake house is a perfect lake side get away. The location is beautiful and surprisingly convenient for being 30 yards from the border. The house is 20 minutes from Newport and 30 minutes from Jay peak down well maintained road. We spent the week skiing at Jay Peak during a two foot snow storm and were very concerned about being able to access the house since it is down a long drive way that slopes down to the lake. We spoke to Brad and Rose who made special arrangements with their plow guy to clear us a spot at the top of their driveway to guarantee we could get out on the day of the storm. The plow driver also reached out personally to make sure he plowed before we needed to leave. The drive way was plowed three time on the day of the storm and atleast 7 total during our stay. We were able to get in and out no problem even from the bottom of the drive way and the roads to and from the mountain were easily passable with 4 wheel drive (Subaru Outback). Would recommend!

This is a lovely place with perfect rustic lived-in Vermont vibes. Our trip was for my 35th birthday and the host left a sweet handwritten happy birthday note, bottle of champagne and a few signature Vermont snacks. I felt very well taken care of and would absolutely come back again in a heartbeat. By the way, the neighbors’ dog is a perfect angel and we were happy to share some of our scramble with him when he dropped by to say good morning.

We had a wonderful stay at Margaret's place. It was a short trip to the NEK to visit family and was a perfect location for a weekend get away! It has all the luxuries of home. We enjoyed having our own space and was close enough to family (5 minutes) so that we could spend our time visiting instead of traveling. It certainly was a winter wonderland at this time of year up there!!! The driveway was a bit slippery and steep, but all and all it was a great stay! We definitely would love to return in the future. so nice to have so many bathrooms and separation of the sleeping quarters so that each family /group can have their own privacy.

Kathy's place was absolutely lovely. A perfect hiding spot on the water with all of the beautiful options at the Craftsbury Outdoor center. Can't wait to come back!

Comfortable, convenient stay in Newport following skiing. Nice location super close to the lake, walkable if you wanted to a pub, market, etc. which made everything easy. Too cold for us to use the big yard and fire pit which looked great for warmer weather.

Jennifer's place was private, peaceful, and charming—the perfect place for a getaway. We loved the rural setting and views, and the interior was so artfully matched to its context, a lovingly restored barn. A very special place!

We had a great stay and looking forward to coming back. The place was beautiful, very clean and more beautiful than the pictures. The parking area was perfect for snowmobilers and close to the local snowmobile trails.

Nick's place was perfect for heading to Jay peak for some skiing. His condo exceeded my expectations by far. Check in was super easy and Nick was very responsive.

Natalie’s place was clean, had all the necessities, and looked just like the pictures. Communication was easy and fast, we had an issue with parking that was resolved within an hour. We felt safe and at home. Would definitely stay here again!

The space is well thought out with plenty of room… it was very clean! Would highly recommend staying and walk to Willies’s, the local general store that has a little bit of everything! Also recommend driving to Hardwick, a short 10-15 minute drive, with a selection of restaurants. Hill Farmstead Brewery is about a 10 minute drive and this may be one of the closest lodging options!

A beautiful little hidden treasure, for those who love nature, recharge, take the time to take the time, breathe fresh air and cuddle in a beautiful blanket by a fire.

We stayed at this apartment for 4 days with our adult sons snowmobiling. Access to trails is awesome, plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. Place inside is small but clean, neat, and well appointed. Great place to stay!

Patricks place was so awesome - we so enjoyed the quiet space more then we expected - tub was best part after a long day Patrick was responsive and helpful all in all a great spot will come again

We had a great time staying at Henry’s place with our dog! The cabin was comfortable, clean, and ready for us when we arrived. Henry was super responsive and proactive in reaching out. We enjoyed walking our dog around the area and loved how close it is to skiing! We would for sure stay here again for our next ski or hike weekend.

Sandra’s cottage is very warm and cosy. We came in the winter time and property access was fully plowed, given the huge amount of snow in the surroudings. We truly appreciated the cleanliness of the whole house. The cottage is fully equipped, down to the smallest details. Finally Sandra is an awesome host, always responding quickly to our queries. I would recommend Sandra’s place to anyone. I would go back anytime myself. It looks like a great summer spot as well.

Doug was a great host and his place is beautiful.

Stan and Janes lake cottage was wonderful. It is right on the water with beautiful views. It is rustic yet with updated appliances. It is cozy yet spacious. Room for 6 to sleep comfortably, one queen size bed and 4 twins. Plenty to do inside the cabin as well as out, tv, games, puzzles, pool table. The fire pit is perfectly located to enjoy it and the view of the lake. The autum foliage was breathtaking. We baked apple rosettes frm the apples that were left for us from Stan and Janes farm. YUMMMM. The smell of them baking in the cottage made our stay seem like we were in a Hallmark movie. Stan and Jane also left us some wonderful home baked pumpkin bread, also YUMM. We went on the Northern Star brunch cruise and it was wonderful, very educational and the scenery is beautiful. We brunched at he East Side Pub, delicious! We're looking to spend a week in the summer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lake Elmore Cottage; it met all of our expectations for a serene stay with beautiful lake views and spectacular foliage. The cottage was very comfortable and peaceful, with direct and easy access to the lake (for canoeing and swimming). The cottage is also directly adjacent to Elmore State Park, where there is nice hiking to the peak of Mount Elmore. Debra was super helpful with terrific recommendations for food and cocktails, and with any questions we had about the property and local activities. Would definitely recommend!

Crystal lake is an astounding place, and Kristine is an incredible host. Her beautiful lake house was just as pictured, we had a wonderful time both at Crystal lake and visiting/hiking at Lake Willoughby. We had the great luck of crisp beautiful late fall weather, (just right!), and had such fun. Thanks Kristine and family for a lovely stay! We would definitely love to come back!

Great cabin in a great location. The area was very quiet and peaceful, a great place to spend a week of relaxation. We'd definitely stay here again!

This place is the perfect reminder of the kind of place you wish to retire at. I can’t wait to come in the summer or fall! Interestingly enough we came during April snow weather and still had the best and most relaxing time. It was a huge plus that Cumberland farms was two minutes away and a lot of other local stores were around. Extremely dog friendly and truth be told any dog’s favorite place this would easily be. I brought my puppy and it was a great way to expose him to ALOT. Mary was so responsive and helpful and we actually got stuck in the mud and her whole family plowed us out and we got a laugh at the end as well in the midst of it all. The place was clean, you really felt at home with all amenities that were included, I would just keep in mind there was not a kitchen aide mixer so bring a handheld mixer and that would do the trick depending on what you’re planning on baking but I was able to make a lot of things without. Highly recommend, very peaceful, and all you need.

Jim was very communicative. The location was peaceful. The deck is amazing and we spent most of our time there while at the camp. Lovely cabin!
