Holiday rentals with a kayak in Bras d'Or Lake

We stayed here with 4 other couples. The house was perfect for our needs and I’d imagine, for any large group. Each couple had their own beautifully decorated room. The kitchen-dining-living room L-shaped open area was spacious enough for all to gather. And the record player and record collection was a pleasant surprise! The outside area was great. We made use of the hot tub, an individual mini golf set and the fire pit out back. As other reviews stated, the wifi and cell service is a little spotty throughout the house. But we enjoyed our time together. Sheena and Bryce were flexible, friendly and wonderful to deal with. We would definitely stay here again. :)

This is a dream location. There are lots of windows to fill up with spectacular views of the ocean. The cottage is lovely and comfortable with an open space to unwind and soak up the beauty of the place. Lots of necessities in tge cupboards. All you need for an unforgettable stay.

Great stay! Michael was there to personally great us and walk us through the property. House is spacious and clean. Nice views from the front two bedrooms.. Kitchen was well stocked for those who prefer to cook. Good selection of spices. While there are resurants 10-20 minutes away, they all pretty much have the same style of food. So, having the kitchen was great. Didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the property and the lake as we only had a couple days. But if you have time, the lake is beautiful. Our trip was 10 nights throughout NS and PEI. So Bonus having a full size washer/dryer. Nice to travel with not have luggage with a week of dirty clothes. Will stay here again, but longer.

Laura’s home was exactly as described, very clean and had all the amenities you need. It is in a beautiful picturesque bay with incredible views - so peaceful and a great place to recharge. There are several options to enjoy the outdoors from a screened sunroom to an outdoor deck to chairs on the dock or around the fire pit. We made a day trip to Louisbourg Fort which is very close by and definitely worth the drive. I would highly recommend this Airbnb. Thanks Laura!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour d'un mois, la maison voici les points forts: Résidence bien située pour découvrir l'Île du Cap Breton et ses alentours. Endroit très calme et éloigné des voisins, juste en face de la marina. Belle résidence, très propre, pleine de belles fenêtres, confortable et bien climatisée Foyer extérieur et pergolas très appréciés. Tous les services et restaurations sont à moins d'un kilomètre La nature est très présente tout autour de la maison (cerf, renards, écureuils, crabes, cormorans, hérons, geai bleu, martin pêcheur, etc..). Les points à tenir en compte: Absence de rideau dans la chambre à coucher principale. Absence de moustiquaire dans toutes les fenêtres alors, ont choisi les moustiques ou l'air climatisée. Table à manger pour seulement 6 personnes assises (annoncé; maximum de 8 voyageurs). Cuisine très sommairement équipée Beaucoup d'ampoules sont brûlées à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur et aucune Un gros merci à nos hôtes pour le séjour!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. We explored the area and completed lots of hikes near by. We visited the Co Op grocery store every day and made our food at the Airbnb. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed. We loved the view from the kitchen and living room area. We also enjoyed having the space upstairs as well as the separate space in the basement. The 3 bathrooms was a bonus!

This was a great place to stay! If you enjoy privacy and listening to nature this is the place to be.

A very nice and homely cottage right by calm water in Isle Madame. It’s well equipped in all aspects.

Kirk and Kelley were very welcoming and lovely. The cottage was easy to locate and had some stunning views of the mountains and the lake. Thank you for hosting us and would indeed return for another get away in the future.

Capers Landing was a wonderful gem we discovered during our visit to Nova Scotia. Nikki has put a great deal of thought and planning into making the home comfortable and delightfully decorated. Her attention to detail really shows. A high priority for us is how kitchens are equipped. This kitchen was both well equipped, modern and had stunning views of the waterfront. The Internet was very fast. The beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms had a luxury appointments. Our only wish is we had planned a longer stay. It is clear why this home gets so booked up. This place is exactly as the listing says. Its clean and the beds are super comfy. It's so cute, it reminds me of my grandmas house. The hot tub was so hot, and didn't lose any heat while we were in it and it was super clean. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location and beautiful cottage. Pristine condition and everything a person needs to settle in. We came prepared with our own items but they have provided many things. It is set up to have an experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Get some lobster and relax!

Everything at the cottage was fantastic; we felt right at home. There were eight of us, and the house had enough space for us all and enough bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the appliances that you need. It was a great stay, and I recommend it to anyone

We had a fantastic time at the Doyle Beach House! Staying there was the perfect way for us to end our Nova Scotia trip as it offered a a great place to relax and as a base for us to explore Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail. The beach is at the bottom of the garden and was perfect for our children with calm shallows and soft sand but also with areas of stones for exploring. The location of the property is perfect for access to the beach at anytime of the day for walks and play and is also a short drive away from restaurants and grocery stores. The sunsets are amazing either from the deck or even from inside and watching over the water was a nightly routine. We couldn’t recommend this property and the hosts more and would love to return in the future.

I would highly recommend. Kristy's place. It is very private with your own access to the lake. There is lots to do with canoes, lifesjackets, and washertoss games available. Or you can just relax on the back deck and enjoy the view.

Amazing people. Amazing place. Of all the homes we’ve spent the night at here on Airbnb, this entire experience is now at the top. We’re leaving with fuller hearts. Thank you Christine and Jeremie for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

The idea was to chill out and recharge by the lake - and that's what happened. We had a terrific time and the staff were so responsive and helpful. Hot tub was excellent and looking out on a stunning view. Great little touches like a welcome gift for Archie the dog too which always helps!

Chices, modernes und stimmiges Einzimmerhaus mit grossartigem Blick auf das Wasser , vom Bett aus! Alles da, was man braucht, auch sehr leckerer Kaffee und Tee. Zum Baden hat es gereicht, und zum Kajakfahren oder SUP war leider zu wenig Zeit. Angenehm ruhig, auch wenn es gesamt vier Häuser sind. Frühstück in der Sonne, kurzum wunderbar, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben. Da hat sich jemand mit viel Liebe einen Traum verwirklicht. Danke!

We used the place as a launching point for the Cabot Trail and it was perfection. April is not the best month in Cape Breton and the winds were up. The place is so solidly built that we were cozy and warm - enjoying the great fire and wonderful views. We are the rare couple that have special accessibility requirements. This place is so well done - universal and simple design. We appreciate the host taking such care to make this a welcoming place. We hope to return - maybe when we can enjoy the outdoors more comfortably - the views and natural setting are stunning. Thanks to the local team including Jennifer who brought us some additional items we needed. So friendly and hospitable. Finally, thanks for making Roxie so welcome - the dog bowls with a view - she liked is as much as Les and I did.
