Family-friendly holiday rentals in Bragança

We were very comfortable, the house is great, in a very good place to get to know the area, and the host was attentive to our questions and needs. As an improvement, I would put latches in the bathrooms, or at least lock the door (one could not), and leave the patio cleaner so that it could be in it. In any case, it is highly recommended.

Excellent choice to escape the city routine! Accessible location, with parking and useful infrastructures about 20 minutes by car. Very beautiful and welcoming historic village, calm, surrounded by nature and peace. The house exceeded expectations, being better than in the photographs, besides that it was impeccable: clean, tidy and equipped with everything you need. The huge courtyard, the amazing jacuzzi, the bicycles, the hammock, the skylights, the air conditioning, the fire, the fireplace and the salamander were some of the cherries on the cake, but everything amazed us and made us feel right at home! Reception of companion animals also pleased us a lot. The hosts were impeccable: friendly, available, responsive, accessible and always ready to help or give suggestions on what to enjoy in the surroundings. Dona Paula is a very humble and caring person, who knows the history of the village and sharing it with a glow in her eyes. We hope to return one day!

Very clean accommodation, very relaxing place despite a very short stay and near Vila Real. Great welcome both by Mr Lorival and by Mr Coelho. We'll be back, I hope for a longer stay and I'll recommend it around me.

Absolutely beautiful, stylish home. It was huge! It would be a wonderful place to come with a small group or for a family. We were just a couple but loved it just as much! The Jacuzzi tub was great and the beds were comfortable. We wished we could have stayed longer. Very good value for the space. Host was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

Susana’s place is an idyllic countryside retreat that is full of Portuguese tradition and authenticity. Susana can’t do enough for her guests, including sharing local produce from her garden. The villa is very well equipped and spacious, and the gardens and pool area are immaculate. There is access to the highlights of the Douro valley close by. We had a wonderful, relaxing break here and would fully recommend it.

Maria is one of those rare souls that you immediately gravitate to. Cannot gush about this amazing host enough, she really is 1 in a million. Maria how do you do this for what you charge? Above and beyond, supplying breakfast and all of the other touches in the fridge; milk, beer, bottled water. On the table a fruit selection. Honestly we feel like we underpaid and this is rare. We chose Maria’s accommodation as were enroute to Southern Portugal so only stayed one night but were extremely happy to have found this place. We don’t actually know what else to say without sounding OTT. If you get the chance to stay here, please do. 5 star ++++++ Muito Obrigada, Muchas Gracias, Vielen Dank, Thank You.

Beautiful apartment with plenty of space. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this location. The host was friendly and forthcoming. The house was clean and fully equipped. Fortunately there were heaters all over the place, so even during our winter stay, we stayed warm and cozy.

It was a perfect vacation! We fell in love with the village and the house. We came with the idea of repeating. Juan was very nice, he explained everything and I advise us where to eat, places to visit, very kind and attentive!!! If you want to enjoy a quiet vacation, this is the perfect place!! PS: What about the weather... it was wonderful, just what we were looking for to escape the heat of Madrid.

We were very comfortable in the listing. The house is very nice and is ideal for children because they enjoy the garden a lot. It was a very nice stay.

The casa was absolutely perfect for our needs. A very homey, warm space, containing absolutely everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. An added bonus - the rooftop terrace! Rabal is a peaceful little village with a mix of deserted ruins and homes inhabited mostly by locals. We appreciated staying in a town that wasn't dominated by tourist rentals and we found all the locals very friendly and ready to say good morning or more. Conversations were only limited by our ability to speak no more than basic Portuguese. Both little cafes/bars, located side by side, were delightful! Both a great 'go to' for the beverage of your choice. Location, location, location! There are some lovely walks right outside the door. Recommended is a circular walk through the countryside to the Santuário de Santa Ana. Bragança is a short 15 min. drive. The circular route to Puebla de Sanabria, Spain and back through Rio de Orno is an incredibly scenic drive. Ninho do Melro II - Highly recommended!

Our stay was perfect. Teresa and Jorge are wonderful hosts, who have pampered us throughout our stay. They are always available and looking to satisfy any wishes or needs we may have. The house is really unique and special, full of history and beautiful decoration, antiques and exquisite details. Children and adults have been so comfortable with the pool, the weather, the barbecue, the outdoor furniture,... that we have enjoyed the house more than the obligatory tourist visits to the city and the area. 100% Recommended

Amazing place and one of a kind. It was a pleasant surprise and beautiful immersion in the Douro valley. The location is even more beautiful than in photos. The house is so beautiful too. We rented a car and I think it's necessary for this kind of place but it was worth it. Finally, the hosts are exceptional, welcoming and super available. It's good to know that this place is on a vineyard and we were able to enjoy the tasting and an interesting tour of making their wine on site (which was delicious). Our trip isn't over right now, but me and my family had a huge crush on everything from this area.

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

Words won’t do justice to this review! We enjoyed our stay here so much. We stayed for two nights and this stay was in the middle of our 2 weeks travelling around Portugal and we picked the perfect place to rest, relax and just soak up the sun and the views (and wine!). The villa we stayed in was so beautiful and so modern, and exquisitely clean! We had our 8 month old with us and Pedro provided everything we needed for him. The baby loved the pool (it was a bit cold but he still dipped his feet in), and looking around the property at all the trees and fruit! We did olive oil tasting with Pedro and learned a lot, he is so passionate about his craft which was lovely to see. We spent a lot of time on the two patios, one with a table to share meals and the other with nice patio furniture to lounge and sip on some wine! We’re thankful Pedro told us to bring food for our meals (lunch and dinner), breakfast was included and it was honestly enough food for lunch!

Excellent accommodation and excellent hosts. The house is spacious, very comfortable and with all amenities for a quiet stay. Located in the historic area of Bragança, the accesses are not the best, but the indications given by the hosts have helped a lot. The river Fervença running right next to it gives you a special touch. I recommend it and will be back.

Beautiful modern house while being cozy. Beautiful view, excellent services. Breakfast was generous and of quality with the added bonus of fresh bread and pastries delivered early in the morning.

My family and I loved this elegant beautifully decorated with original art work villa that has orange and lemon trees that we made fresh orange juice every morning. The little town of Oliveriera(sp?) was great to walk around. It rained a lot while we were there 4 nites in April 2025 so I think that a summer stay would be better in order to use the pool and try the grapes in their vineyards. Sergio and Josesandre? Gave us 2 bottles of wine from their vineyard which was delicious. Luckily the heaters worked just fine so we could warm up the house. The WiFi and internet worked great also. Luved it! Andrea
