great peaceful, safe and isolated place to stay. we loved sitting on the end of the dock and fishing. Great getaway. small 2nd bathroom.

The area was super peaceful and quiet. The area the home is in is off the main and busy parts of the lake, so kids could swim and fish and we could dock the boat, without worrying about too much traffic or wake. The home was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was a nice size for cooking and socializing. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Bring extra pillows and maybe a heavier blanket (if you’re like me and want a little weight on you while you’re sleeping). The kitchen was well stocked! The yard was great for the boys to play some baseball, have a catch. And there was even a dog waste bin with bags! The yard games and paddle boat were great extras for our kids to enjoy!

It was spur of the moment for our 17th anniversary. Wasn’t looking for anything fancy or Lake Gaston type pricing. It was perfect. Cute little place. HUGE screen porch was amazing which we hung out there every day till late night having wine and playing cards. You can walk out straight to the water and go approx. 75-100’ waste high. Everything was clean, fully stocked…. Just an amazing experience for us! Would highly recommend if you want a waterfront place with great water access with no one around!! Thanks Renee. This area was really cute. The house was very well equipped, lots of additional items that made the stay pleasurable. The house and amenities appear fairly new and in great shape.

Kelly & Corey's place was the perfect spot for our girls trip. The house is BEAUTIFUL and had plenty of space to host our 9 people. The kitchen was amazing and had absolutely everything you would need for cooking for lots of people. We really enjoyed floating around on the lake and using the fire pit to make s'mores. It was also a great location for visiting the Shady Shack Restaurant and Rosemont winery. The hosts were very responsive & kind with all of our interactions. We would love to visit Lake Gaston again!!

We had family coming in for our wedding and needed extra space due to some last minute changes. Our family had nothing but positive things to say about Sarah’s home. It was beautiful, spotless, and everyone had plenty of space. They were very responsive and kind, and even informed us that we could check in earlier than expected. It was a great stay! This was our second trip to this house. Beautiful location on Lake Gaston. Three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and full kitchen, plus lovely screened in porch overlooking the lake. We really enjoyed our time.

The Eleanor on Belle is a gem. The house is just beautiful and the space is lovely. The two suites are very large, and the common spaces and front porch welcoming and comfortable. The location is convenient to all in Henderson and very close to the Interstate. Carol is a lovely host.

I absolutely loved my stay. The pictures on the website was a replica of the actual studio apartment. It was clean. It had everything I needed for my stay and more including the iron and extra towels. The bed was comfortable. The decor was nice and appropriate for the size of the room. The outside perimeter was quiet and peaceful. The temperature in the room was great. Not hot and not cold. The next time I come home to South Hill I will definitely stay here if there is a room available.

Carol’s place is great. Just as pictured. She has done a wonderful job bringing this old home back to life. It is clean and has everything you need. Carol lives right down the road and always willing to help with whatever we need. Highly recommend!

Our stay was a reunion of long time friends (25+ years). It was an amazing weekend in the absolute perfect place. The tranquil setting was perfect for our catching up. The sunroom allowed for the perfect setting for playing games and laughing til our stomachs hurt and view the amazing setting. We will be coming back! Halfway for all parties concerned and a beautiful peaceful setting! What more could we ask for to coordinate our awesome reunion!

The Eleanor Annex was well-appointed, and matched the description/photos. Carol was also a responsive host. My husband and I enjoyed the historic charm of the property.

This place was wonderful for us. Lots of room and decorated really nice. It was quiet and easy access. Scott couldn't have been more accomodating. Instructions were clear. Things labeled so you were not confused. Guide book of area if needed. Even left a treat for our dog! If, we are in area in future, would stay again. Our stay was awesome. Linda & David Gober
