“A beautiful space in a fantastic location, with pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants to hand. The kitchen was especially helpful, everything you would need for making simple meals at home including a great selection of spices and some other useful ingredients. We travelled with our 9 month old and it certainly felt baby friendly whilst still being super stylish and comfortable. Projector screen TV was an awesome addition too! Great communication and helpful hosts when needed as well. Would happily return!”

“Perfect place to stay in the heart of Bowness! This was a cosy spot to retreat to in bad weather and to use as a base when exploring Bowness or venturing further afield to the lakes, towns, fells and mountains. Spotlessly clean on arrival with an easy check in and check out. Would recommend!”
South facing, small, traditional Shepherd's hut with views, internal shower, compost toilet, log burner, kitchen area. 2 mins by car to Kendal. Scenic walks from doorstep. Kendal is an attractive market town with an eclectic range of shops, cafes, restaurants, and a lively Arts Centre with a cinema and theatre.
“After the lockdown I was understandably feeling a bit nervous about an overnight stay and can happily say I had nothing to worry about with Susan’s place. The hut was sparkling clean and aired out before our arrival. It’s such a lovely little space with loads of thoughtful touches - blankets, breakfast basket, cosy fireplace with logs provided. We loved watching the little birds on the feeder in the morning! Considering the space is small there was still plenty of room for us and it didn’t feel cramped at all. I only wish we could have stayed longer! It was the best way to spend our anniversary. We would recommend the Shepherd’s Hut to anyone and hope to come back. Thanks so much Susan for our lovely stay.”
