Our nearest town is Keswick 5 miles by bus, boat, boot or car. We're in a perfect location for walks, water sports, touring villages, or just sitting back to relax! We provide all our guests with our 'walks from the door' which we have written ourselves: 12 walks of varying lengths that you can enjoy straight out of the gate.

Originally built in 1696 as a shepherds cottage, Foxwood Cottage is situated in Borrowdale, just outside Keswick in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lake District National Park. The River Derwent runs past the cottage and it's surrounded by some of the finest views, walking paths and trails the park has to offer, from an easy walk to a nearby pub or restaurant or a more strenuous hike up Scafell Pike - the highest mountain in England.
