De Casa Saraso, House of the Spotted Eagle Ray, is on a remote, virus free island. A king sized bed overlooks Volcan Baru across the turquoise water. Wrap around porch w/rocking chairs, swing, and hammocks. Snorkel where you sleep. Nocturnal bioluminescents. Starfish/coral, swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. Dock joins the bungalow to our lodge.
“This magical place is for people who love being in nature and on the water. Expect the sounds of the jungle to be your music and the windows into nature to be your television. Expect your taxi to be by boat and expect to swim rather than walk. Expect your food to take longer because the ingredients are picked fresh from the garden and lots of labor goes into the meal you’ll eventually love and savor. Michelle uses her knowledge of blending spices and Ayurvedic medicine to serve you the healing and healthy food! Do not expect regular internet, cellular service, or processed foods. Michelle is full of knowledge and experience that will interest anyone who loves to learn about the world through travel. If you are lucky to hear some of her stories, you will walk away inspired. The place is one of the most tranquil places I have been. Waking up to sunrise and watching the twinkling stars and bioluminescence at night is beautiful. I learned how to make coconut oil, how chocolate is processed and that Howler monkeys will lounge on your shoulders if you have good energy. I spent four days and wish I could have spent more. I’m grateful to have been to De La Luna and will come again!”

“We had an absolutely amazing time in Bocas del toro and that was largely thanks to Nomad. The place is idyllic, set back in a forest with a quick walk to great surf. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed and met great people while staying there. The rooms are simple, tasteful and incredibly comfortable. Everyone who works there is super friendly and really help make the great vibe and atmosphere of the place. Thank you to everyone for making our stay what it was. When we come back to the amazing Bocas, we’ll be going straight to Nomad. Gracias.”
Fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle and wake up to the sound of the waves. Our bright and simple cabins are built on 14 feet stilts to get you closer to the tree canopy and its wildlife - its feels like a tree-house, totally immersed in lush nature! Ideal for: surfers, beach lovers, explorers, day-dreamers! Outside of Bocas town (3.7mi) close enough for nights outs, groceries and tours but far enough for tranquility, privacy and secluded coves. Be barefoot & free!
“First of all, you really get the jungle experience at Paunch. A howler monkey was 5 meters from our kitchen window on our second day. We had a well appointed cabin with all the conveniences we needed. Our cabin was above a little stream. We slept to the lullaby of jungle sounds. There was a huge buttress tree in full view from our deck. Max and Jane are friendly, thoughtful, and always looking for ways to make your stay enjoyable. The local bus was okay, but we relied more on the local taxis. The rates were reasonable and the drivers were friendly. I would highly recommend this Airbnb if you are wanting to get away from it all. The cabins are away from the hustle and bustle of Bocas Town yet easy to reach in a few minutes. Totally relaxing. Lots to see and do. No regrets. Great experience.”
