Cosy duplex house situated on farmland in one of Australia’s most historic and highly regarded wine regions, Great Western. The property is situated on a hill, overlooking the Black Range Mountain with sheep and chickens grazing the paddocks. Only a short 30 minute drive to the Grampians National Park.
“We absolutely LOVED the space Kiki's farm provided for us. The apartment was clean and cute and cosy and warm and we would have very much enjoyed staying longer. The drive to Halls Gap was gorgeous and the views of the surrounding area were not taking for granted. Would highly reccommend this listing to absolutely anybody looking to escape into nature. (Especially if you enjoy the constant companionship of animals! Ducks and kitties and sheep everywhere 🙏🙏)”
Our rustic 1903 mud-brick studio is made from river sand and mud sourced from the local Great Western area. The studio was built as a fruit kitchen by the Patching family who owned and operated a number of orchards along Concongella Creek and Salt Creek. The fruit kitchen has been recently renovated into a 1-bed studio which offers history and modern comforts. The cottage is surround by farm land meaning there is an abundance of animals to watch and enjoy, including Kangaroos.
“Definitely recommend this place for a couples getaway, the town of great western has some amazing history behind it and everyone is so warm and inviting. The love shack is perfect for a couples and in walking distance to major wineries. The effort that Debbie and Carl have gone to is perfect and they went above and beyond to make our weekend away memorable! We Definitely recommend the tour at Seppelts winery, the history and 3km of underground cellars tour guide with Linda is a must! X Jade and Malcolm.”
A beautiful queen bedroom with TV is available for like-minded travellers. The room is in my home so guests will have to share my bathroom (with claw foot bath), dining room and kitchen facilities (which can be used to make food). Parking is right at the front door, it is a 20 mins drive to the Grampians National Park and a 2 mins walk to the town centre. I also have two single beds in a separate bedroom (without TV) if there are four of you, you have a young family or you prefer single beds.
“A great place to stay in Stawell. Mary is friendly but not intrusive. It is well located just walking distance to the main street. The beds are comfortable and the place is sparkling clean. For the price I paid I could not do better. I would recommend anyone this place. Will be coming again.”
