Cottage holiday rentals in Black Lake

Sean’s cottage is beautiful. The lake is lovely and very private. We didn’t use the kayaks or paddle board but they are available and easy to access the water via a lovely dock. We sat on the dock on the comfy Adirondack chairs. The cottage has lovely renovated bathrooms and the furniture is very comfy and nicely arranged. We also enjoyed sitting in the sun room just off the kitchen. The town of Perth has a lot of nice restaurants and shops. It’s less than a 20 minute drive into town. This is our 2nd time staying at Sean’s and we plan to return again next year. 5 star rating from me and my family!

Beautiful little cottage, views were to die for. Cottage was very clean and looked like the photos. Price was very reasonable and would definitely book again if in the area.

We rented Nikhil's place for my wife and I and my 2 son's families while we were in town to hold a celebration of life for my parents. The place was a great accommodaion and met all our needs. The 2 living spaces gave lots of room for us to spread out. The room overlooking the bay was bright with so many windows. We wish the weather was more favorable to be able to enjoy the outdoor space, it looked like it would have been a treat. Everything was clean and well stocked...we lacked for nothing. Highly recommended!

We had an Incredible stay at this cottage. The place was sparkling clean and the host was excellent. The area is quiet and perfect for an outdoorsy weekend with family. The hot tub and fireplace were such a bonus, and the lake was perfect. I definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a cozy weekend getaway!

Jillian was an absolute rock show of a host ! She was friendly , very thorough and followed through with everything she said she would ! I highly recommend this place to stay !

We had a great family week away at David’s place and as a host he was super helpful. The view from the window/hot-tub/deck was fantastic, shame we could not bring it home with us! The weather was not great for the week, meaning limited time on the lake. We did manage a day on a hired boat, the other days we went on day trips to local towns and Ottawa by train from Brockville. We also did a city cruise of 1000 islands and attended the annual 1000 islands rib fest. The house was well equipped with all we needed for a great family stay and a relaxing week. For a BBQ recommend a trip to “The Butcher Shop”.

We loved our stay with our family and four legged friends! Great location close to our family and easy travel to Elgin for food and Westport for shops and Brewery!

Really nice cottage and the inside was very clean. The location is perfect if you want access to the river, the docking space is well protected with 3-4’ at the dock (June). We will be coming back next year.

Absolutely wonderful getaway spot with the coziest vibe. The 5 of us really enjoyed staying here for our annual Canadian fishing trip. The place had everything we needed from coffee to life jackets ect. I myself could spend a week here alone just relaxing and going nowhere else. The information packet we received prior to check in was extremely informative, helpful and awesome. Great host!

Higley Flow was a perfect, relaxing venue for our family that was in the area to attend a college graduation. It is a beautiful house; it has a fabulous wraparound deck. John was very proactive in communicating, calling me a week in advance to introduce himself and explain the house. The house was very clean. We did not have a chance to enjoy the outdoor spaces due to the weather but they look great. Elderly guests or those with physical disabilities should be aware of the spiral staircase that is difficult to navigate. There is an alternate staircase outdoors, but was difficult to use during foul weather.

We had a great weekend stay at the cottage! Cam and Karley were super responsive, and accommodating of us for early check in and late check out. The cottage was well stocked with kitchen basics, and super clean and cute! As described, the main house is also closeby on the property, but we were left with full peaceful privacy the entire time. There are some beautiful walking trails in the area, including the South Frontenac just a ten minute walk down the main road. We appreciated the binder of local recommendations, as well as how pet-friendly it is, with a dog bed available and even a towel and poop bags by the door. Because it’s a beautifully wooded area, on the rainy days we did need to be vigilant to pick ticks off the dog, but we appreciated that the cottage was equipped with a tick removal kit in case we needed it, and we didn’t encounter any when it was nice out. If we hadn’t had a dog with us, we wouldn’t have noticed a thing because we were never finding them on ourselves!

This cottage was super cute, squeaky clean and the location was beautiful. The pictures really don't do it justice. I would highly recommend it and would rent it again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our extended stay here this winter. The cottage is much larger than we expected with two full bathrooms and two large bedrooms that are nicely separated, with a large kitchen space. The pool table provided extra fun for family and friends on cold snowy days. The views out to the river are lovely (even in the winter). The property was very quiet and private making for a relaxing and peaceful escape. The hosts were great to deal with, responded quickly and resolved any issues we had. Merrickville is a short drive away and a great spot to run for lunch or a few groceries. Highly recommend this property!

I can't say how much I enjoyed my stay. Barb and Kim's place was so, so cozy, private and peaceful. The location on a dead-end road was perfect for privacy. The furniture and bed were cushy and comfortable. I simply loved the decor...felt right at home. Barb and Kim's responses to a few questions that I had were prompt and so courteous. I highly recommend this Airbnb and will most definitely be back! Thank you for everything!...and the nice touch with the birthday treats.

Rented for a Girls Getaway for 3. Just as described and depicted in photos. On a dead-end street, Home was very clean and spacious with tons of natural light. Lovely furnishings. Beds so comfortable! Kitchen had everything needed. Close to Perth for shopping and restaurants. 10 mins to Murphy’s Point for XC skiing. Excellent communication from Candice. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay. The view was gorgeous and Christine was very helpful.

The place is just a few minutes drive from Gananoque, where you can go for 1000 Island cruise, and many nice restaurants in the area. And just few minutes away our stay is surrounded by nature. Really hope that we had a chance to stay longer!

We enjoyed our stay overall. The place was cozy, clean, and well-located — which made exploring the area really convenient. The host was very friendly and responsive, from the booking till check out all instructed well, which I appreciated. Communication was smooth, and check-in was easy. 💬👍everything was as per picture inside clean, neat and bedding and amenities. Open kitchen and all utensils and appliances ready to use. Bathroom was clean and good water supply and drinking water was provided. However, there were two issues that affected my experience: 📶 The Wi-Fi didn’t work during my stay, which was a inconvenience as we are online working people. 🔒 A secure door lock was an absolute necessity, and while there was a lock, it didn’t feel as secure as it should have for peace of mind. With those improvements, this place would be a great option. Thanks to the host for their hospitality — I hope these details help future guests!

We needed to get away for a few days for some R&R with peace & quiet and this spot did all that. From the moment we booked the trip until the day we left Carol was there when we needed her (which luckily we never really had to reach out). Check in was easy, the cottage was perfect. It was clean, had plenty of blankets, towels & even had shampoo/conditioner & body wash. She gifted us a bottle of wine in the fridge, nice & cold & ready to drink. The views when you walked in the door took our breath away - a picture window with views of the lake. Outside we found plenty of seating and fire pit with wood provided. Nice set of stairs to go down to the water. The bed, daybed & furniture were comfortable. We had fans to us if needed. We basically stayed & enjoyed the property with a fire going & just took in the quietness. We have promised ourselves that we will be back at least 1x a year, thankfully we are only two hours south. Carol - Thank you for allowing use to enjoy!

This is the perfect place for a nice family vacation our little guy had so much fun on the children’s slide and playing in the sand.
