Early Riser barn-loft on Organic farm near Acadia

A unique offering for those who want a true farm experience! A clean, rustic above-barn space. Farm animals live below-Winston the roo may crow (early!) Chadde our pet pig may grunt, chickens will cluck! There is a 2 burner stove, cold water sink seasonally(jugs provided in winter) a dorm fridge, and basic kitchen ware. Tea and coffee provided, veg & eggs for sale The shower is at the main house, and a bucket-style compost toilet is in the apartment. There’s a full bed and a fold out couch.

Our 5m bell tent is appointed with cozy furnishings to wrap you in comfort after a day of exploration. Recline under the stars by the fire pit and view the magnificent milky way. Bathroom: shower, vanity, flush, washer/dryer, laundry supplies, iron, toiletries, towels, blow dryer, and cleaning supplies. Bedroom: Queen platform bed, dresser, bedside tables, closet, ceiling fan, window A/C. Patio door opens to a small private deck w/stairs to ground level.

Older attractively decorated small one bedroom vacation rental apartment in a quiet coastal village. It might be better described as an efficiency apartment? Perfect for a party of two persons on a budget like ourselves. Repainted, refurnished after a long term tenant of 13 years moved back home to Ohio. In fact, when we had to come up with a name for the apartment, he had been for so long such a part of every ones lives we continued calling it "Fred's Place".

Take the local ferry to MDI to explore Bar harbor’s restaurants and shops, or stay local and enjoy the less traveled side of Acadia National Park, Schoodic Pennisula (5-10 minute drive).

It's perfectly centered in the Birch Harbor village. Sitting at the exit of the Schoodic Peninsula, the entrance to the park is only 1.5 miles up the road. Breath taking views of the ocean and many walking, hiking, and biking trails that will lead you to reconnect with Mother Nature. This is the quiet side of Acadia National Park.
