“Excellent value for money, place was absolutely wonderful as were the amenities provided including the gorgeous hot tub which myself and my partner made the most of - although the place we stayed in was in the vicinity of the hosts own property we were never made to feel like we were being watched and only had interactions from the hosts where necessary - they ensured we had everything we needed from the get go and were very friendly. I would highly recommend this getaway to anyone seeking a quiet few days away in bliss, we hope to return one day :)”
The house is spacious with large airy rooms that are full of light. It is on a direct bus route to both Ormkirk (10 minutes) and Wigan (approx 20 minutes) and is within walking distance of the town centre.
“I stayed in Sinead' s place to visit Anthony Gormleys "Another Place" and the NT place Rufford Old Hall , both within easy reach of the house. Sinead is lovely, easy going and very helpful . A joy to meet! The room is very light and very big and the bed is very comfy.(so is the sofa!!!!)”
The cosy guest suite includes a living room with TV, cosy sofa and armchair, small dining table and 2 chairs. There is a compact kitchen area equipped with combination oven/microwave, hob, fridge and all essential crockery and cookware. The bedroom has a double bed and is furnished with pine and painted furniture, curtains and a blind. The shower room is spacious and is off the bedroom. There is gas central heating and blinds to most of the windows.
“Like a small apartment even though adjoined to owners property. Great place to stay alone or as a couple. Small and cosy. Rural location but close to Parbold Village for shops, and restaurants. Lovely touches by owners to supply basic food, tea and coffee and milk. Would highly recommend and will look to stay again when returning to UK to visit family”
