The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. The Shell Shack was such a lovely place to stay on our get away!! I love that every direction you look there is a turtle!! Not only did our host make us feel welcome but so did the turtles!! Feeding the turtles and getting to see them enjoy our company was the cherry on top. Would recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful, quaint, beautiful home.

We loved out stay at the Lemon Tree, house was very clean, and as pictured. We were a family group of 5 adults and 3 kids. The pool heater was no working during our stay, but we had booked prior to the pool heater being installed. The cold water didn't stop the kids, they had a blast in the pool. Tito was proactive and let us know ahead of time about the pool heater and was very responsive during our stay. Location is quiet, not in a busy area.

This cute little home in Iverness was perfect for me and my two children. The fenced yard offered room to run around. The mini pool table and game selection were a hit with my kiddos. It was small and quaint. Perfect place to relax and recharge. The area has an awesome park, lots of beautiful places to walk and is drivable to Rainbow Springs state park. We also enjoyed a kayaking tour with a local guide company. We will likely stay again when visiting family in the area. It met our needs perfectly.
