Enjoy the French artwork and boardgames before having dinner at the French bistro downtown, just a few blocks away, or take a walk along Roanoke River, just one block, and scan the other side for the area’s famous black bears. Public dock access so bring your boat and spend time fishing, or wake up early and make the short 90 minute drive to the outer banks. Great place. Close enough to town for modern convinces like Walmart and restaurants but far enough away to see the stars at night over the corn fields. Pictures on listing are accurate and I'd recommend this rental as we will stay here again next trip.

Honestly we really liked the pictures that we looked at and it met our expectations. The host is really nice and helped us with anything we needed around the place! The house was very clean and felt cozy for my friends and I. Bonus there was also a cat that stays behind the house that was very friendly and added another perk to the house.

Stay Here Awhile! Family Friendly Retreat

Very good hostess! Responded quickly! Very beautiful surroundings. A few insignificant downfalls: Across from a school, near an intersection and no recliners. A big downfall for us were the ring cameras at every door. We felt like we were being watched. I felt quite safe in this area. My grandkids love playing corn hole, basketball and fishing outdoors and playing Connect four inside. There is an office with pens, pencils and a note pad. The four bedroom is a family room with a pull out sofa and its own bathroom. My oldest grandson loved that! Entry was very easy. Highly recommend!!!

This home was secluded and peaceful surrounded by beautiful country scenery. The old preserved structures on the property combined with the old pictures, paintings, and objects in the home was very interesting. It was very nice to read about some history of the original owners. Inside the place was very clean, neat, and open. Renovations in the kitchen were nicely done and the bathroom fixtures were unique. We loved the house for our family with all the rooms we needed for everyone. My parents were impressed and it was their first time experiencing an AirBnB stay. Our kids enjoyed the place as well playing on the piano and the swings outside. Mornings were great sitting on the front porch enjoying the peacefulness. This was a perfect location near some family we were visiting. We will definitely keep this place in mind and appreciate the opportunity to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! A very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We loved the fenced-in backyard, even though it was a little bit too rainy for us to fully enjoy it. The kids toys in the living room were a welcome surprise for our toddler!

Cozy and lovely cottage right on the river. Decor was bright and colorful. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. we enjoyed relaxing on the dock, on the deck and on the screened porch. Edenton is just a short drive away. We enjoyed dinner at Waterman’s Grill - delicious! Lunch at Govenors Pub - also delicious!

VanDee was very helpful and quick to offer information and respond to questions. Location was premiere with a water view across the park and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The two cruiser bikes were in very good condition and we rode them all over town. Leather chair/ottoman was very comfortable. Highly recommend property and host!!
