We were in the DC area for a wedding and SO happy to have Kathleen and Carl's to set out from and return to. The location (including the backroad drive) is beautiful and peaceful. Noted dulcimer-makers, they designed and built both the original house and these guest quarters. From the first message to the in-person greeting (with stocked fridge), and final goodbye, we were made to feel so welcome, comfortable, and thoroughly at home. I have stayed in a lot of 5 star homes, but this is the first where I wouldn't/didn't hesitate to ask for a bandaid for a second night of dancing. Wonderful spot, exceptional hosts!

Absolutely an amazing experience. Host goes above and beyond. If you are a smoker. Please leave premises as she has young children who will be upstairs. More than enough places to walk to or drive towards, to do so. Highly recommended. From setting the mood to a friendly chill.

We had a wonderful weekend in this sweet cabin! From before check in, until check out Flora made the whole experience easy and comfortable. There are so many thoughtful details throughout this property. Super clean and beautiful inside, but we spent most of our time enjoying the incredible deck. Our favorite part was that we could still sit outside in comfy seats and watch a thunderstorm while covered! Close to lots, but far from it all. We can’t wait to come back!

Moniguane’s place was BEAUTIFUL!!! Wow just WOWWW! Extremely peaceful, quiet, and spotless. I am a very particular person when it comes to the level of CLEAN I need things to be and she DEFINITELY met my expectations. This place I basically you’re own 1 Bedroom apartment. It was well decorated,smelled good, and had everything I needed. Moniguane was very nice and allowed me to check in early. She was super responsive when I reached out and just over all a very nice person/host. I WILL be back as I love to take frequent staycations to unwind from my daily life. 10 out of 10!!!

My Husband and I Stayed at Ms May’s house for 7 days awaiting the arrival of our Grandson. It’s Beautiful, Peaceful and Quiet. We had to extend our stay. We didn’t see the need to go elsewhere even though we had to travel 35-40 mins to get to our destination because we felt safe and comfortable. Ms May is an excellent host! Always has a Smile on her face. It really feels like a home away from home. Would recommend Ms May anytime.

Kristopher's place was perfect for a quick (3-day) conference at the National Harbor. Kristopher was very quick to answer whenever I had questions, and he provided detailed instructions on check-in, check-out, and general expectations during my stay. I was able to check in easily by myself and Kris was very warm and kind when I met him in person. I would definitely stay here next time I am in the area.
