It has recently been renovated with a new kitchen, living room and bathroom to make it extra cosy. The view from the front deck looks out to ‘Digby Gut’ which is the entrance to the Bay of Fundy. This is an ever changing view and a delight to experience. The 2 bedrooms each have very comfortable new queen mattresses to sink into after a long day of exploring The Annapolis Valley.

River Valley Loft

Drive up the gravel lane way and escape to this loft. Hidden, one storey up above our storage garage. It’s just a two minute drive from the village of Bear River, or a five minute hike if you’re up to the steep hill. Sip cocktails or your morning Java on the ground floor deck. Early mornings as well as just before sundown can bring sightings of white tailed deer, pheasants and the humming birds are plenty. This retreat space is a fully and tastefully appointed modern oasis in a country setting.

If you can be here for Satuday mornings... the Annapolis Farmer's Market is a wonder. A short drive will take you to Digby for Scallops or go a little further South to see the character and beauty of the Acadian Shore. It is the perfect base for your whale watching trip, exploring Annapolis, Kejimkujik, Bear River or Digby Neck, but make sure you leave time to relax on the deck. Watch the fishing boats come and go, you may even see whales. Comb our rocky, cobblestone shoreline for sea glass or that special rock. Swim our cold, clear water if you dare! Digby is a fishing port so there is always lots to see there too.
