Holiday rentals with a kayak in Bastrop County

The White Horse Ranch was a beautiful getaway—perfect for relaxing and reconnecting with my fiancé. We had the incredible experience of witnessing a pig give birth, saw a variety of animals up close, and explored exciting new things in town. I can’t wait to go back!

This was my first time booking on my own and Ada & Gabriel offered a little extra help from the start. The communication was excellent, their instructions and offerings were very clear, and they were really kind. I loved my stay - I was alone and the property and space felt safe and cozy. They have two dogs that were so sweet and never even barked except when I entered the yard, which was great! Little details like q-tips, a variety of teas (and honey!), coffee, a sudoku book - all felt thoughtful and homey. I will definitely book Casa Azul again when I come back to Bastrop to see family. Thank you for being lovely hosts!

Really awesome place that feels like a home and gives you a sense of the owner. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of entertainment options. The hot tub was quite nice as well. One amazing thing is that the host reached out and asked if there were any particular snacks I’d like. I was really surprised by this offer and sent a list of a few items that ranged from ginger snaps to Coke Zero. I expected to get a couple of them but all my requests were there. Beyond that there was plenty of coffee, tea and yogurt. Five stars all around

Great, quiet and relaxing place. Enjoyed the peacefulness and coziness of the stay. It’s a great spot to just get away from Houston for a couple days. Loved the outdoor shower and back patio area. We even did a little bike riding on the quiet country roads around the area. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Our stay with Bridget was 1000 percent the best place we have ever stayed. Extremely helpful and responsive at any time! The house was so comfortable and cozy and smelled so good! Had everything we needed and just an overall perfect experience. We loved spending our anniversary here and it couldn't have been more special! We will definitely be returning!
