Cosy 2-bedroom pet friendly Lakeland cottage for 4

A comfortable and cosy cottage in the Lakes in which to base your stay. On the ground floor is the fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, electric oven & hob, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a dining table & four chairs. In the lounge is ample seating, nested tables and a TV with DVD player. Up stairs is the main double bedroom with en-suite toilet and washbasin. There is a main bathroom with bath (and shower over), washbasin and WC. Also upstairs is the twin bedroom.

It’s a short walk to the famous Pheasant Inn, across the road from Bassenthwaite lake and the Sailing Club and a short drive to the Lakes Distillery. Please note that we do not accept large adult only groups.

Outside there is a large garden, a sheltered seating area perfect for the afternoon sun, ample parking and a barn for storing bikes and other equipment.

Located in the Lake District National Park on the coast to coast cycle route, Wythop School sits on the side of Ling Fell with views towards Bassenthwaite Lake. The old village school has been renovated to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests. The village has a pub and hotel offering good food and real ale. All other amenities (supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants, museums etc) can be found in Cockermouth, a 4 mile drive away.
