Holiday rentals with a patio in Barren River Lake

We stayed here for my daughter's orientation at WKU. The location was perfect as it was close to campus and walking distance to some really great restaurants. The space was larger than expected, beautifully decorated, and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the private balcony where we were able to enjoy the fireworks that were set off at the ballpark a few blocks away. We had a private, off street parking space right by the entrance which we really appreciated. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book again!

Diana's place was perfect for us and is very close to our family, but gives us the privacy we want. Diana is a wonderful host and the accommodations are pretty great for our needs. Warm and cozy for our winter stay. Will stay again. Thanks so very much, Debbie

Overall a very good experience! The parking is street parking but literally the most convenient. Parking was right in front of the door & the place is located in the middle of downtown. It was super clean and the bed was so comfy. With it being next to the train tracks, I didn’t need the ear plugs the host provided but my bf did and he said he slept just fine after putting them in. Angela also provided a sound machine which was awesome! Overall, we both enjoyed it and would gladly book it again!

Benjamin was very accommodating and responsive to any questions or needs we had. Would highly recommend if you are ever in Portland, TN and need a quiet place to stay.

Our stay at the Hotel Alexander could not have been better. The accommodations, location, and comfort were top notch. We are already planning a return trip!

We had such a good time, and Mary was so so very helpful! We ended up running into each other and she was so delightful to talk with. She gave great recommendations while we were down there and the place was so clean and peaceful. Exactly what we were looking for. I cannot recommend this place enough! She is so sweet and very responsive.

My friends and I met at Karrie’s place for two nights. We had all the things we needed and the touches were so very thoughtful and made us relax immediately. We cooked all our meals and had everything we needed to save time and money by staying in. Most of the time when I try to cook at an Air BnB or cabin the utensils and pots/pans are not in good condition. Karrie had everything we needed and all in great condition. Bottled water in the frig was a nice staple to have on arrival! Plenty of seating in the living room allowed us all to be comfortable. The beds were comfortable and linens too! We all rested well. Fresh flowers in the bathroom and living room was a wonderful surprise. My favorite place was the rocking chairs as I listened to the birds and the wind. If you need a quiet place to recharge or work-this is it! We were planning an annual event we host and had all kinds of room to spread out and work. We will definitely be back! I was so pleased with our stay

this is our second stay at Rise and Shine! it is the cleanest place you will ever stay. Mark and Beth are so easy to work with. they have been very cordial to us on both stays. we will continue to come back here every year. thanks Mark and Beth for a very beautiful place to stay away from our home.

Great home, with comfortable beds and huge yard. our family thoroughly enjoyed the winter months here. The town is cozy with great restaurants and Mom&pop diners with delicious food. Kids loved the outdoors and parks as well as the nearby mall, events, movies, archery, rivers, etc. definitely recommend it to anyone.

Kim was very accommodating. She allowed my family with a toddler and several fur babies to stay a night while we were moving from Florida to Illinois. Her home was the perfect spot to take a break and was exactly as pictured. We would definitely recommend!

Nice small house on the Main Street in Cave City, we were comfortable and the location made it a nice jumping off point for visiting the park. The pizza place across the street was good, Ace Coffee three doors down is great. We were not there for a show, but Ace has a stage outside as well. Two good roomy walk in showers.

Katie was very responsive and made our stay feel right at home. They had lots of toys for the kids to play with along with puzzles and table top games for the adults. The hot tub was relaxing and beds were comfortable. It's a bit further from some of the attractions we went to, but the amenities and price were worth the extra drive.
